Now the Republicans are trying to defend the tax cuts and not doing a very good job at it.
A Republican Representative actually said that tax cuts do not always generate revenue. He had to go all the way back to the JFK era for an example of it actually doing that. The 60’s???!!!
does anyone know what’s going on? is the house passing it? i don’t really wanna try and watch it on tv i dont think it could get more boring :)
It is boring on CSPAN but at least you get to hear the words right from their
own mouths. I can’t believe the outright lies and distortions.
They were debating it a few minutes ago, the RepubliCONS want it paid for through
the unused stimulus funds. It will be voted through I’m sure, but when I do not
know?
Art LeDoux
The House has not voted yet, but they are discussing it.
they are voting NOW :)
I’m not sure but I think they are voting on the rules for debating the bill.
lol sorry it’s all new to me
If the Yays have it there will be an 1 hour debate with no other amendments and no other changes.
So does that mean they will again debate on 4213 and then vote after that hour is up?
I am not certain but they would have the final vote. I am not sure what is going on now since I was away from my TV.
i watched one republican got up and BASHED the other ones because they’ve been playing with our lives for a few weeks now. are we going to give you the money? or will we make you wait even longer? he’s right! these people will never understand the things that we are dealing with.
Does anyone know if the final vote has to be 2/3 or if it is majority wins?
simple majority 218 votes
voting now you can wathc here

Thank you!!
177 almost there :)
ok i found it on tv. now i’m wondering how many YEAs that they need to pass it. i’m not surprised to see that the republicans are ALL ABOUT saying Nay. i’m so glad that they are only interested in helping the upper and middle class people and don’t think about the people that DESPERATELY need this money. we won’t be able to pay our rent without this money and could possibly have to move. i think we’ll know who’s getting my vote in november.
yes they spend most of their time kissing each others asses that u can never figure out what the real freakin issue is.
Does anyone know what time the final vote is suppose to happen?
they voted yesterday to limit debate in house i believe this is the final vote yesterday they said this is vote 1 of 2 they need to pass the bill
it passed the house, now oboma just needs to sign it and its done
i just read on aonther site that the extra $25.00 is eliminated from new claims, but if you were getting it before you will continue to do so. can anybody confirm this? also what’s the latest with the house vote? it’s hard to get this news on tv because they seem to think that the Lindsey Lohan jailing is more important seeing that’s all i seem to see when i turn on the tv!
you will get the $25 untill the teir you are currently on ends then its over, if you are currently in a benefots gap you will not see the $25 again
thanks Abaratarr, i just posted my comment & you answered it while i was typing! now the extra $25.00???
i live in Ohio & our agency says that we will get outr payments with 2 days of the signing! that’s awesome! i use direct deposit which is faster, so people who just use standard snail, mail might want to change their accounts to direct deposit for faster service…
that is amazing in Colorado they said they hope to start getting out checks in 3-4 week from the time the bill becomes law, one of the Carlina’s said it would take them 6 weeks, you are very lucky.
well actually i was just approved for my 20 weeks of state EB & i got my first payment before it then expired & i was getting the $25.00 then. so that being said will i still get it??
no if you stopped receiving benefits you will no longer get the $25.
the $25 is not in 4213 at all, the only people who will still get the $25 are the people that have yet to have a gap in benefits and the $25 will stop for them when they get to their next tier.
well like i said there was no gap i was currently getting the eb. i was not in between tiers as i already used up the euc a while ago…
everybody had a gap in benefits since they were not extended until now right??
no people that still had weeks left on their current tier are still getting benefits, with exception to state extended benefits which are a different animal
