How They Voted on the Debt Bill

The House of Representatives last night passed a bill to raise the debt ceiling and cut spending by a vote of 269-161. Most Republicans voted in favor of the bill, while the Democrats split evenly, 95 in favor and 95 against.
To find out who your Rep. is and see how they voted, plug your info into our zipcode lookup tool. Then, once you are shown their name, visit the roll call page and do a page-find for their name to see how they voted.
You can also use OpenCongress to send them a quick letter telling them how you feel about their vote. Go to the debt bill page and click “support,” “oppose,” or “tracking” in the right-hand sidebar. You’ll then be able to use our custom Message Builder to write them an email. After you send it, you’ll be given a custom permalink that you can use to share your letter publicly on OpenCongress (if you choose) or with your social networks.
On Tuesday, the Senate followed up on the House’s action and passed the bill as well. We’ll have vote information for the Senate posted later this afternoon, and I’ll be updating this post with a link when we do. To see the full roll call details, click here.
