Conyers on Rove
May 16, 2008 - by Donny ShawI wouldn’t want anyone to miss this juicy post over at the Crypt:
>Just off the House floor today, the Crypt overheard House Judiciary Committee Chairman John Conyers tell two other people: “We’re closing in on Rove. Someone’s got to kick his ass.”
>
>Asked a few minutes later for a more official explanation, Conyers told us that Rove has a week to appear before his committee. If he doesn’t, said Conyers, “We’ll do what any self-respecting committee would do. We’d hold him in contempt. Either that or go and have him arrested.”
>
>Conyers said the committee wants Rove to testify about his role in the imprisonment of former Alabama Gov. Don Siegelman, among other things.
>
>“We want him for so many things, it’s hard to keep track,” Conyers said.
We’ll see. Conyers has been known to talk big on holding Administration officials accountable in the past without ever actually following through.

Conyers went for the British memo thing big time. That was an intelligence op.
Plame went to Montreal. Woolsey followed because she wasn’t on an op; WMD expert and known agent since 1995. Russians weren’t interested. So, Toronto sold off Bush’s brain and Plame was happy to follow up with the administration. Of course, no one would call this an op because, technically, someone committed treason.
So, it’s funny to watch Congressmen and Americans respond to a foreign intelligence operation. Plame was all that was needed.
Was Conyers the ‘US Government’ that called in the UN for the dem voting?
Don’t believe a thing a single one of these “comittee men” including Conyer’s says UNTIL YOU SEE ROVE OR ANYONE ELSE sitting before them answering questions under oath. Until then it’s all BS politico noise to give the ignorant that “warm fuzzy feeling” that they are doing sometning in behalf of the United States citizenry.
That’s the proof in the pudding…nothing else.
I personally think if anything about Rove or any other one of those criminals in the bush administration was going to be done, it would have already been done when those committees first sat down. Instead what we have seen thusfar is indecisive procrastination and same ole every day congressional bull-shit the public “they’ll believe anything.”
And ya know what? "They"re right! The U S public falls for and believes anything and everything “they” spew out of their mouths.
Prove me wrong? That will gladly happen when I see Conyers back up what he says with ACTION! And that goes for any of those so called investigating committees that’s been wasting time and taxpayer dollars for well over a year.
