    The ever-growing economic stimulus package, which was passed by the House of Representatives last week, is slated to be debated in the Senate beginning this afternoon.“With the stakes this high, we cannot afford to get trapped in the same old partisan gridlock,” Mr. Obama said in a press conference announcing his pick.
