Free Choice Act!!! WHAT A JOKE!!!
What it would allow is union insiders to intimidate you into unionizing.
Secret ballots protect the voter.
If the ballots are no longer secret and you work for a non-union place of business where a unionizing vote was held, your vote AND identity would be known to union officials who could get you removed from employment if it goes union and/or be subject to arm-twisting by a couple of goons.
Honestly, who actually cares?
I care and I am not in a job where there is a union nor is my Husband or any other family member I know of. But I do not want to see Americans stripped of their right to a private vote.

If I were a Union organizer, (I’m not) and I wanted to Unionize my employer,(I don’t) could I hire people to collect signature cards, and pay them on a per signature basis? If I could …… (humm!) Just think about it. Maybe some of the ACORN type folks could use the work. I know that would put ME in a position to get all sorts of things ($$$) from employer (maybe it could be like an AIG bonus). If I were that type of person. Often doing the right thing gets in the way. I’m sure glad there aren’t any un-scrupulous union/ACORN/Thug types out there. Of course if you have a secret ballot this is all a moot point isn’t it?

This bill essentially ends freedom of the workplace, something that this country has help up for its entirety. It will be a sad day for the liberty of this country if this bill ever passes through. Of course, then again, if people were unaware of Obama’s plans in regards to labor, or anything else for that matter, that just goes to show how uninformed so many were when they cast their votes. God help us all.

I agree. The fact that this is even up for discussion is an indicator of how bad things have become.
