8/1/2007--Introduced.United States-China Energy Cooperation Act - Authorizes the Secretary of Energy to make grants to encourage cooperation between the United States and China in joint ventures involving:
(1) joint energy and climate change policy education programs; and
(2) joint research, development, or commercialization of carbon capture and sequestration technology, improved energy efficiency, or renewable energy sources. Requires joint ventures to be composed of both:
(1) Chinese and United States private business entities;
(2) Chinese academic persons (who reside and work in China) and U.S. academic persons; or
(3) Chinese and U.S. federal, state, or local government entities.
