This bill implements a policy with two obvious benefits:
1. Improved education for pre-schoolers (see Head Start)
2. Day care for working parents. This is a huge issue especially for single parents who typically can't find good quality and affordable day care for their children as they work.
There are so many great programs out there. In my state we have 'First Five of California' that assist, encourages, and educates parents about the most important development years of a child's life. Both organizations and the families I know that have been involved have had great success, and the real winers are the kids :)
Lets take what has been a proven success and set a standard for development and education younger, and part of that is to give preschool opportunities the same way we have given kindergarten opportunities for a very long time.
The 'Return on Investment' is too high to be ignored. Please support this bill.
