It may not be perfect but it's better than nothing, and nothing is what we have now

I am all for this bill. I think it will do a heck of a lot more than what our current policy does as well. It will also do exactly what Americans,, legal ones, want, which is to push the illegals back to where they belong. " Back in line to come to America in a legal manner, rather than living off our system for free.

I am wondering why this bill has not received more attention...other than it has been kept in committee by the House Leadership. Lets let it go to the floor and get a vote!

As a small businessman in a border state, I would have no problem whatsoever with this bill. This looks like what we need.

I understood that the SAVE ACT was meant to be brought to the floor March 13, I haven't been watching C-Span so I don't know what has happened. This bill is disparately needed. American citizens are becoming a disinfranchised minority in their own country. We have more LEGAL IMMIGRATION than any other country in the world. This INVASION we are experiencing is NOT IMMIGRATION, it is an INVASION.

In my opinion the save act is not going to help in anyway, it is going to cause more conflict. What we need is an immigration reform. We need to consider, that all the people who come ilegally to this country is to work. According to the homeland secury office, nine percent of ilegal people who come to the USA are not criminals.

This system is filled with errors and inaccuracies and should not be allowed to be used by our employers. Who knows who will possess the information that these machines will collect. It is not going to help to aid in the fight
    against terrorism.

instead of spending all this money on more border guards, it should go to the INS (or whatever Homeland Security calls it) to reduce the long line of immigrants who want to become working, upstanding citizens.

What I want to know is if all these illegals come here to do is work than why is it that 12 billion of the 14 billion dollar deficit in California is due to illegals? If they're working so hard why would you need assistance? I am tired of the bleeding hearts in this country. Illegal is illegal. Would it be the same to say if I committed a crime like stealing that I only did it to better my life because I didn't have any money? You would be all over that prosecuting me. So why is it okay to break and enter illegally into my country, steal money from our government(us) and feel sorry for the lawbreakers?

Border security is little more than closing the gate after the livestock have escaped. It is also very much a smoke screen to dealing with the issues of illegal immigration. Simply giving citizenship to those that want it is the same as what we already have. The simple solution is to eliminate work, housing and other social benefits to people illegally entering our country. When there is nothing to live on, people will leave. A few illegal hiring company CEO's imprisoned is much cheaper than chasing illegals, holding, shipping back and chasing again. Faced with incarseration, company heads would take great interest in solving employement issues and explain to stockholders how employment costs will increase causing stock decline. Currently illegal immigrants are the new poor and too deeply bedded in bank and loan companies. The real issue is that too many entities have padded their business on using illegal immigrants that there would be serious economic issues. Government is dragging their feet under the pressure of the economic issues. Like so many, this bill is stuffed with too much garbage to make decent progress. People can not make decisions when presented with too many options. We need a simple employement and social benefit reform that excludes illegal immigrants and provides legal provision to go after the people hiring illegal immigrants to their profit and expense to the rest of us. It needs to happen quickly as we are currently being overrun. Seems the plan is to let invasion occur until there is nothing to be done about it.
