Excellent idea but DSS is not big enough to support the diplomatic corps. in Iraq. But I like the overall conept of the bill.

Government personnel are hired by non government orgs and US government programs to do work, so what is the difference? They can write off their budget into the orgs or programs. Maybe that’s what is wanted.

Ridiculous! It is a manpower issue and the Feds cant manage what they already have; how will they manage this? Less government = More capitalism. Now thats America!

So are we going to bring back the draft? Reverse the downsizing of the military that is taking place? Increase recruiting for the DSS? Someone is going to have to fill these jobs no matter what.

Most contractors are former military personnel who are still using the training and skills they aquired from that military training. They are uniquely qualified and continue to support policies of the US without the taxpayer being on the hook for retirement and other benefits. Although it may not appear to be on the surface, it is cost-effective to do it this way.

This has everything to do with politics and the bad publicity from recent incidents involving contractors. It’s nothing but backlash.

This bill is a bad idea.
