didn't anyone learn from the DDT, that almost destroyed our raptor birds in the 70`s.our we moving forward or back wards, think people,think1111111 virginia studebaker
It's been called "one of the most dangerous [toxins] known to man," and it was banned in 1972 after it killed 13 people. It is used legally by only one group in the U.S. — the USDA Animal Plant Health Inspection Service (APHIS) Wildlife Services. Compound 1080 causes vomiting, convulsions and collapse. Heart failure is usually the cause of death. It is so potent that animals eating tainted carcasses — even months after that poisoned animal has died — can die of secondary poisoning. Endangered California Condors have been found dead this way. Outrageous!!! Scientists have speculated that Compound 1080, because it is odorless and tasteless, could be mixed in with water supplies in a terrorist attack. It is insane, let alone irresponsible, to cater to ranchers etc. and allow the use of this chemical! PLEASE STOP!

End the Chemical War Against Wildlife
Compound 1080 and M-44s are extremely inhumane and indiscriminate, often killing or harming endangered species, companion animals and humans.
Compound 1080 is one of the deadliest poisons on Earth and has no antidote.
Compound 1080 is a potential terrorist threat to water and food supplies.
Killing coyotes causes their populations to boom. See this letter by wildlife ecologist Robert Crabtree, PhD.
Ranchers should use non-lethal husbandry practices – such as guard animals, proper fencing and night penning – rather than predator extermination.
Please ban the use of 1080 and please make sure all 1080 is destroyed so it can't fall into the wrong hands.
Thank you!

I do not care if rancers lose one or two cattle to predators, I dont care!!!!!! I do care about wildlife and the feel the ranchers are selfish, cruel, non humans. everyday of their lives are spent abusing and murdering their cattle. So how can you expect them to care about anything but them selves.
For God's sake PlEASE stop using this toxic poison.
I support this bill. Please contact your Reps and ask that they also support this bill!
This should be a no-brainer. We are already poisoning the planet - we certainly don't need to add more poison and destroy what wildlife is left. To even propse the use of compound 1080 is an atrocious idea.
Are we intelligent enough to manage our environment in a reasonable and sustainable fashion? Introducing highly toxic poisons into the environment, indiscriminately killing off the creatures we share the planet with ... maybe not.
It seems that the only course of action on the part of decision makers is the cheapest, fastest method of destroying instead of coming up a new idea for a positive outcome.
You would think that we would have enough sense to know that toxins and the environment don't work together in harmony. Please call your Senators and House Reps to encourage them to pass this bill.
