Renewable Energy and Energy Conservation Tax Act of 2008
To amend the Internal Revenue Code of 1986 to provide tax incentives for the production of renewable energy and energy conservation.
previous 110th session of congressThis bill would repeal roughly $18 billion in manufacturing tax credits for oil and gas companies while extending and increasing tax credits for a wide range of renewable energy programs. It is expected to cause a contentious debate in the Senate, where it's chances of being approved are uncertain.
