Protecting the Medicaid Safety Net Act of 2008

To extend certain moratoria and impose additional moratoria on certain Medicaid regulations through April 1, 2009.

previous 110th session of congress
OpenCongress Summary:
This bill would effectively delay for one year the implementation of new Administration-proposed regulations that would reduce Medicaid payments for several Medicaid-related activities. It is estimated that the proposed regulations would save the federal government $15 billion over five years, but that states would suffer $50 billion in damages for making up the difference.
