We have to make people understand that an unemployment extension will be a huge help for the economy. As obvious as that seems most of the people I have been talking too did not realize that.

Instead of complaining, do your part and contact anyone you can think of to bring this problem to the public. There is lots of ways to contact people – here are some I have personally emailed – if everyone does the same, we may just succeed. Emailed the following: Nancy Pelosi, members of House, CNN,Fox News, MSNBC, etc. Contact anyone you can think of. Be pro active not negative.
I have done the same and emailed my local station WDIV. Reps Candice Miller, Debbie Stabenow, Carl Levin, White House,
MSNBC. I have spent the day trying to get the information out.
The story about the food banks was on 20/20 the other night. I saw that the 80% using it are middle class citizens.

The sociological dilemma that is occurring here, people in the U.S., in general are a proud people. wouldn’t you say? the government creates laws in order to get people to “finger point” at each other. Getting the American always watching each other, to see what they are doing and whether or not they approve or disapprove.
Having to get food from a food bank can be VERY humiliating, to say the least, therefor it along with unemployed people, we inwardly have some sense of humiliation. It isn’t something that we just want everybody to know. It can be an easy target by others, (currently more fortunate, that may have jobs, or don’t need to work) who have no empathy, or concern for their fellow man.
Well , the short of it is that when a society structured in this way, they are divide, and more easily separated.
THUS MORE EASILY MANIPULATED, say, may even be made to not count correctly, like instead of:

Although through governmental and media propaganda, the simple mathematic equation appears this way to the majority of Americans.

Without fair treatment to those who are and for years have

Before a bill can go to the president for his signature it has to pass in both the House and Senate in identical form, even down to spelling and punctuation.
Well the just said it, the war funding bill will not be voted on this weak and could be postponed even further due to the “blue dogs” in the house! So we get more time to push for the extension (positive), but we are probably not going to see anything happen until into July.
I don’t know about anyone else but this is getting so stressful it makes me sick to watch!

If the unemployment extension is dropped. It has to go through the House and Senate again and requires 60 votes-the President can still veto. This would be a long process.
Exactly my thought. They the Democrats will unaccomplish everything they have accomplished. People will remember how an additional $165 billion was spent and thousands losing jobs and homes.
