The impending nursing shortage is a serious matter that will impact the delivery of quality health care in our near future. The babyboomers in the nursing field will be leaving the workforce in the next five years and replacing not only the nurses working in healthcare facilities but, also nursing professors will be critical to the survival of the nursing profession.
Bill H.R. 5878 is a great way to allow nursing schools to hire more professors, which in turn will allow the programs to enroll more students. Congressional support of this Bill is important to healthcare.
