This mine contract was an environmental disaster for Santa Clarita, but PLEASE don't add to the air pollution already suffered by the people in the Majave Valley-Barstow area, an area that has been in non-compliance per the EPA for PM-10's, VOC's and it now appears possibly PM-2.5's. This area is a heavy transporation corridor. The changes of developing lung cancer is 4 times higher than the national average because of diesel emissions. The existinfg cemet operations are release heavy metal dust particulates into the air. This is not a good bill for the Majave Valley-Barstow area. BOB CONAWAY
