    Rail travel can be much better than car travel for intercity trips. I regularly take the train between Seattle and Portland, and even at the same speed as a car, it’s preferable, as I can have my time to myself. But it’s the dark ages compared to what’s possible. If it made the trip at 110+mph, who would go any other way?
