It is about time that somebody in Congress is , not only listening to the public, but also doing something to help the REAL AMERICANS of this country. I say let our people do it all encourage job growth as well as relief on energy. Finally, COMMONSENSE is here.
The price of petrol is tied to the extremely weak Dollar, which is tied to the bad economic decisions of the last few years and increasing debt. Since the Dollar has been increasing against other world currencies recently, the price of Petrol has come down.
The facts are that drilling would not produce any real price decrease in petrol and it would take years before it even was available for US consumers. During this time we should be leading in using alternatives instead of trying to stave off the next crisis.
