I am appalled at the introduction of this act, which effectively will prohibit open access to government funded research. I am a true-blue democrat and the very fact that this bill was introduced by and has 3 sponsors who are all democrats makes me ashamed to be in the same party. The publishing lobby has bought their way into the introduction of this bill and the publishing industry will be the only winners if this bill becomes law.
