    1. Everyone should get benefits – except that person messing up this site.
    2. I’ve been looking for 10 months. Been unemployed before – only took a month or two to get a job. Have no idea how to answer this.
    3. OBAMA!!!

Everyone should get benefits, but I think the local states should use resources to do this-not just fed fund

    unemployed for 10 months too.
I think realistcally they should also consider worker retraing/workstudy
as an added benefit. Most people will likely take at least 12 weeks to find an employer

    PALIN, I mean MCCAIN

THIS SITE/MESSAGE BOARD IS BECOMING DEGENERATE FOR THE MOST PART ANYMORE.. THAT’S REALLY TOO BAD. IF OUR LEGISLATORS LOOK AT IT & SOME OF THE INANE & UNTHOUGHTFUL COMMENTS ON IT THEY ARE NOT GOING TO GIVE A DAMN ABOUT OUR LEGITIMATE CONCERNS. PLEASE LET’S CLEAN IT UP & THOSE THAT HAVE THAT HAVE USEFUL INFO & COMMENTS PREVAIL. I KNOW PEOPLE (& MYSELF INCLUDED) ARE DISCOURAGED, BUT LET’S NOT DEGENERATE COMPLETELY.

Ok. I have logged in. I am not posting anonymously. This McCain person has to go. Please, whoever you are, leave us alone. You are obviously not as desperate as the rest of us. You obviously have some kind of money. We are trying to discuss this bill and get it passed. Please leave us alone. Thank you.

Maybe he/she is gone? I posted something in response before to someone else’s post and I was asking about this Rep from Ohio (I think). I know she’s a Rep and not a Senator but she is awesome. I would vote for her for President. Are there any Ohioians out there who know who I mean? Do you think she could help us?

I’m in MA and it is useless here. Kennedy (who was pushing for this) is ill so….Kerry is I don’t know what…My Rep just wanted a head start on his 3-month vacation (on one is running against him) so he voted for the bailout bill even tho nobody wanted him to. I’m ready to expand to other states!

Thanks. I just looked it overly briefly and it looks like MA isn’t included in the special extension. I have bookmarked the page and will read it more thoroughly later. I’m curious…in this case with Kennedy being so ill and in the hospital…isn’t someone supposed to take over for him? Does anybody know?

His successor will probably be someone he endorses…but don’t give up on the old man yet…I’m sure he has one last blast in him yet!

I hope so! But are you saying I have to wait until he dies or something? I don’t think he was up for re-election – only Kerry. Kerry is a democrat – I am Independent tho I lean towards Democrat – but unless Kerry gets his act together soon (since Kennedy can’t do anything), I am voting for whoever runs against him.

Contacted his office and got the standard reply…but he seems to be have a grasp of the issues:

KENNEDY SPOKESMAN ON DECLINING JOB NUMBERS
    October 3, 2008
    FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

WASHINGTON, DC— Today’s report showed a loss of 159,000 jobs, the ninth consecutive month of job losses. The number of unemployed Americans rose to 9.5 million, and the number of workers unemployed for over six months rose to 2 million (an increase of 728,000 over the past year). Anthony Coley, spokesman for Senator Edward M. Kennedy, Chairman of the Senate Health, Education, Labor and Pensions Committee, released the following statement:

“Today’s job numbers show the painful toll this crisis is taking on hard-working families. Democrats are fighting to help the millions of Americans who can’t find work — especially the 800,000 whose unemployment benefits are about to expire. Senator Kennedy believes that just as Congress has acted quickly to stabilize our financial markets, Congress must also help stabilize working families’ budgets. He urges his colleagues to support an immediate extension of unemployment benefits.”

The PATHETIC LOSER is at it again. The cut and paste addict. Question to you, pathetic loser…Why don’t you tell everyone here why it is that you continue to obsessively repost the same information? Why don’t you find someone else to annoy? No friends left? No job left? Can’t afford psychiatric help? GOOD YOU DESERVE IT!!

what is this stuff about a Paste addict? Nobody was interested in taking an “Anonymous” poll…How can we even discuss the UI ext issue if we can’t even do a simple ANONYMOUS POLL?

I did your poll. I was the first one to answer (voting for OBAMA!!!). I have nothing and no need to be anonymous anymore.
