Rep. Frank plans economy stimulus bill in November
Sun Oct 12, 2008 11:03am EDT
WASHINGTON (Reuters) – Rep. Barney Frank said on Sunday he will put together an economic stimulus bill when Congress returns to session after the November elections, while a key Republican said he would support the effort.
Frank, chairman of the House of Representatives Financial Services Committee, said on ABC television that he would begin work on the stimulus bill in November in a “lame duck” session.
Rep. Roy Blunt, the Missouri Republican who serves as House minority leader, said he would support a stimulus plan if it did not include a massive public works program and budget bailouts for states that overspent on health care and other social programs.
“A stimulus plan that makes sense is something that i’ll be helpful with,” Blunt said, also on ABC television.

use the food stamp money to buy stuf to make burritos then sell the burritos at construction sights , bars and and other businesses thats how the mexicans do it. and because it is a cash business they pay no taxes nothing is reported and they continue to qualify for food stamps.
It is easy to have a profitable business when you have no expenses
If you have kids that you make school lunches for, maybe you could make arrangements with some of the other kid’s, that go to school with your kids" mothers to provide them with their kids with a school lunch for$10 or $15 a week.
They’re all lame ducks. Vote them all out.

If the moderators would shut you down with all your false poster names and fake posts, maybe this forum would become productive and useful. There were some honest people on this site and they are understandably gone.
You’re all that’s left and you’re not only a sad case, you’re pitiful. Like other websites, I hope OpenCongress will make this forum a “sign-in” only forum and record the IP address of every contributor.

“Right!!! I am just amazed at the amount I get for food”
I don’t know if it will help you or not,but you are eligable for LIHEAP. 2x a year. And Congress just gave them more money so there’s no excuse for them not to give it out. Just call your power co. and they’ll tell you which non profit is distrubuting it. You must have a final cutoff notice and ID.
Also recent proof of income or the lack thereof.
BTW, does anyone know if the person who keeps posting the ridiculous Cindy McCain stuff like a teenager who has no life or something?
(The Politico) Democratic leaders are coordinating a potential lame duck session with the Obama campaign, discussing an economic stimulus package between $100 billion and $150 billion.
Pelosi and Democratic leaders plan to unveil details at an economic forum tomorrow.
In the stimulus, Democrats are considering expansion of food stamps, extension of unemployment insurance, aid to states facing a budget crunch and billions in infrastructure spending for bridges and roads. The infrastructure spending in particular is designed to create jobs in bridge and road construction.
There is a fundamental difference, however, between Obama and Democratic leaders on one subject—how to pay for the stimulus. Democrats don’t have a “paygo” proposal while Obama would pay for the stimulus with a windfall profits tax.
Also under debate is whether the stimulus would have tax rebates or tax credits for individuals.
Pelosi is the reason we do not have an extension, don’t trust her. She is manipulating you for votes. (pathetically it is working, they screw us so we will vote for them, and what do we do we vote for them)
from this morning

“With that bill’s passage blocked, Pelosi then sought to have it added to the financial bailout legislation making its way to Bush’s desk, according to officials in both parties. They said the White House signaled it would accept an extension of unemployment benefits, but the speaker refused to allow the stimulus package to be broken up.”
What Nonsense
If you call Mitch McConnels office tomorrow and ask the person on the phone why the repupublians in the senate blocked the unemployment extension bill vote she will tell you
its because they were not given the opportunity, in their opinion, to debate the provisions. Phone (202) 224-2541
.
Sen McConnell, Senate Minority Leader, is part of the Senate group that blocked the Unem. Benefits Extension. He is in danger of losing his seat to Bruce Lunsford
Lets write to the journalists who wrote the below articles and alert them to our hardships, that the economy is even worse and will not be able to create jobs for months. What happens to a million unemployed Americans with families? . Where do we live when we are evicted from our rented apartments or houses? Or lose our mortgages ? Why don’t our children need food, and medication? We don’t count as mainstream America? Aren’t we rich enough for him to count us?
Will we live in our cars? Do we go dumpster diving?
Are we just a bunch of whiners as Phil Gramm, McCain’s future Treasury Secretary called us just 3 weeks ago?
Bush said no to unemployment benefits extensions for us and McConnell supports him?
AND call Sen Mitch McConnell’s office phone: (202) 224-2541 and tell them we have contacted these papers and these journalists to alert them to our hardships.
Below articles are about Bruce Lumsford and Sen. McConnell :

“What Nonsense” so you are you saying that Pelosi did not bock us from receiving the unemployment extension or are you saying that you do not know how to read or think for your self?
Why do you want to come here and ridicule the unemployed? You need to get a life, go away this is for the unemployed , you have no place here, god bless

I couldnt agree more.
I think you would find a lot more helpful people return if that was enforced. Its hard to keep trying to help the cause when all you are getting is uneccesary spiteful, malicious comments for your efforts.

Congress knows 800,000 have no EUI at this time ..Have any of them say (other then .try and find a job)
What we are suppose to do for 6 weeks without no income for rent?
My landlord called last week and ask me about the rent
After 30 days .he can evit me..which is Nov 1 and at that time I will be oweing 2 months
Have they even took that into consideration
one of the reasons they don’t require log in to post is because they want to allow for anyone, take that to mean anyone helpful, who may be in a position of authority or confidence to post information without concern.
