Sen McConnell, Senate Minority Leader, is part of the Senate group that blocked the Unem. Benefits Extension. He is in danger of losing his seat to Bruce Lunsford
Lets write to the journalists who wrote the below articles and alert them to our hardships, that the economy is even worse and will not be able to create jobs for months. What happens to a million unemployed Americans with families? . Where do we live when we are evicted from our rented apartments or houses? Or lose our mortgages ? Why don’t our children need food, and medication? We don’t count as mainstream America? Aren’t we rich enough for him to count us?
Will we live in our cars? Do we go dumpster diving?
Are we just a bunch of whiners as Phil Gramm, McCain’s future Treasury Secretary called us just 3 weeks ago?
Bush said no to unemployment benefits extensions for us and McConnell supports him?
AND call Sen Mitch McConnell’s office phone: (202) 224-2541 and tell them we have contacted these papers and these journalists to alert them to our hardships.
Below articles are about Bruce Lumsford and Sen. McConnell :

Come on go to Obama"s site, I’m sure he would appreciate this hog wash, we are here for the extension, Hey buddy you are at the wrong site, BYE
Paul Krugman won the Nobel Prize for Economics today. He writes for the New York Times. I saw him on TV… CNN last week and he was saying the unemployed need benefits extended and this was very important to the economy
3 nights ago on Wolf Blitzer’s CNN evening talk show, Robert Rubin ex Treasury Secretary was trying to say the same thing and Blitzer just cut him of a few times..
Oh well, call Pelosi and Mitch McConnell. If each got more than 20 or 30 calls they would sit up and take note.
I said the 7 weeks extension is not nearly enough for anybody
we will appreciate 7 weeks, That will help us get through the holidays and get us into next year.
we will appreciate 7 weeks, That will help us get through the holidays and get us into next year.
I’m more worried about getting though the next 6 weeks!!
Hopefully 1 of the department stores will call me today for a interview
I am so annoyed that President Bush said himself that he would have added unemployment to the bail-out, but Pelosi insisted on adding a bunch of other public works stuff with it. She refused to only add UIE so that’s why it failed in the Senate! I am infuriated about this!!! If anyone finds relevant news about her “ecnomic summit” today, please post immediately, as I won’t have access to the news today. Thanks everyone!!!
Bush said he would veto the bill if a UI extension was in it. That’s a BIG FAT LIE!
Not only could she of added it to the bailout, she could of added it to the CR!!! What is she thinking?!?!?!? I have a really bad feeling about holding it for the lame duck session, they need to just call an emergency session and get it taken care of! If we pay their wages, why won’t they listen to us???? GET BACK TO WORK! WE NEED YOU!
It is only the Senate that can do anything for us and they are still on recess. Nothing we can do now except call Sentate reps and ask them to reconvene b4 the “selection”
Obama’s main campaign strategy is counting on the fact that alot of uneducated, uninformed people will vote for him for irrelevant resaons such as # his skin color 2# just b/c he is a democrat # 3 plain old ignorance
See it isn’t the republicans stalling this extension it’s the ridiculous Congress, Bush would have signed it ? Good lord what was Harry & Nancy thinking???
How many ppl will be come homeless before the lame duck session..This bill didn’t pass in the “Stimlus Package” ..so you would think, the Senate would call for a emergency session to pass this!
I won’t vote for Barry Obama, he is a mystery man, and a scarry one at that!
You are the scary (not scarry) one.
Obama CANNOT possibly keep the promises he made. Where will he get the money for all of his promises ?? He is just saying it to get elected.
Once again we got the shaft by Harry and Nancy ( alias Sid & Nancy) They always want to help AFTER THE FACT.
Harry and Nancy can shove it !! They are self-serving only and don’t care about the struggling people.
NOBAMA 08’ You can Keep the Change
And why wait until after the election ..If they have plans o pass this ..why not come back now ..They know we have no income and jobs are hard to find!!
