I came here to find out information about unemployment and nothing has been posted recently. Did the Senate vote?

Hmm, you say you are here for legitimate reasons.

It is not nice to filter some here, especially the ones that helped get the first extension passed. .

    No answer?

I’ve had enough comics for this night.

Here is the deal. This board will be used for the purpose that it was meant for. To deal with an unemployment extension as stated in H.R.6867.

Countless people in our country need it to survive for a while longer.

Anyone that thinks that is wrong and wants a fight, Will get a slaughter.

13 votes will be your epitaph.

    Choose your sides now.

My opinion is that it has become a bunch of idiots in here, sorry to the good meaning people, but way to much stupid stuff going on, still unimployed in Florida

  • Anonymous 10/27/2008 9:18pm

You people are unbelievable!! Why on earth do you idiots carry on like you do. Does it make you feel good hurting all the people that could benefit from the relevant unemployment information shared on this site or could help them to feed their families, pay their rent or mortgage, heat their homes if this extension passes?

How heartless and shelfish are you people that are playing these games and ruing this forum?

    Florida..Yeah, stupid stuff…you’re right.

To the next post, you’re right too.

Someone wants this place shut down because it became powerful in the fight for the last extension, and plays a part in the election too.

    Think about that.

This is the reason WHY we need to ALL vote Democratic in this election:

    Senate Democrats Eye ‘Magic 60’
    http://news.aol.com/elections/article/senate-democrats-eye-magic-60/226875

They’re also two reasons why Democrats are talking 60 — the number of seats needed to secure filibuster-proof majority in the Senate.

Winning what’s commonly called the “magic 60” would maximize the Democrats’ ability to push through a Democratic agenda and would virtually prevent Republicans from blocking legislation on the Senate floor.

The republicans blocked MANY bills that would of helped middle class America.

Dana Perino and Tony Fratto say that we should get off our butts and find a JOB. One is the White house press Secretary and the other one is the assistant. These people report to Bush! If you were getting slammed with E-mails so bad that you could not get to the bottom of them, would your boss know about it? Don’t threaten them what ever you do, the Secret Service has NO SENSE OF HUMOR!

    Tony Fratto

Heck if all else fails, send them your resume and tell them you heard that they would help you find a job. Don’t attach the resume, put it in the body of the E-Mail. The White House does NOT accept attachments…..

The below was sent out by a lobbyist organization. They are all nun’s, if you have not E-Mailed them already, do so, but be nice, they did reply to me***

    A Call for Stories

Last week I attended a meeting with staff members from Speaker Pelosiʼs office. One of their requests was for peopleʼs stories of the specific impacts of the economic crisis on their lives and their communities. I turn to you for help with this.

At a NETWORK member call-in shortly after the meeting, I made the request. The next morning I received an email from one of the callers with the following:

Black Angus restaurant closed two of three county locations and consolidated activity
here in San Leandro resulting in the loss of many food service workers.

The local Goodyear, Mr. Goodwrench auto service center, has reduced its daily hours
by 1.5 hours, now closing at 5, rather than 6:30 p.m. in order to conserve on salary
    obligations.

I hope some of you will be able to send comparable information and/or your own personal or family story. It is good to have the name of the Representative in whose district it is happening. I sent this personʼs email to both the Speakerʼs office, and to the office of the Representative. Iʼve made a good connection with the staffer working on welfare and labor issues! She was most appreciative, especially as they were having a forum on Saturday in the district.

These stories really are appreciated by members of congress. Thank you for your help.

Sorry but we have bigger fish to fry than anyone on Bush’s staff. They are too busy packing their bags and covering their tracks before they hand over the keys. I wouldn’t waste your energy or time on these Losers!

I am far to tired to get into political discussions about things I already discussed before. I am going to bed.

The thing on my mind though is why the 13 filter votes just all of a sudden stopped tonight.

    Goodnight :)

  • Anonymous 10/27/2008 9:50pm

Personally, giving Bush and his people a few more jabs before they leave is worth it, from what I have heard these 2 people are really stressed. But the other 2 contacts are good ones, but we won’t get any help out of them until after the election.

  • Anonymous 10/27/2008 9:52pm

The idiot has 6 votes, so you need 7 to override him. Simple math.

  • Anonymous 10/27/2008 10:03pm

    OK, whatever.

Those of us on the same side,…….We will win.

I just hope that those of us that have always been on the same side can see that we really are on the same side.

    I’m going to bed now.

    Goodnight everyone.

They forgot we exist, they forgot what they taught us, they forgot the battles we fought.

They forgot we learned what we learned.

We are the ones that already fought for the U.S.A. and won when it was at all possible.

    We are still here.

And we will fight for her again!

    Good night.
