Yes, they are the same person. Mention the word fraud and other legal terms and they go away. And looking at posts about thongs and racist hateful remarks is beyond disgusting and I think it is a man writing this stuff. OOT/Jackie/Kim and whoever else have more than earned their walking papers from this forum. Now they will be hearing OUR voices. BAN THEM!

Please Have the ISP or IP’s or whatever you can have checked to see and you will see we are three different people in three different parts of the US. I would encourage someone in charge to do that. Also trace if its possible to see which comments have come from who. That might tell you a lot too

    You win OOT !
    Slander me all you want.
You will have to answer to your maker as I will mine.
Thanks for some of your support here but some of this speculation is way inaccurate.
3 people being 1.Therehas to be a way to prove that is not accurate

This post will more than likely get filtered away just as the others have but it will be my very last here.
I will never post again. If there are posts after this that sound like me…they will not be mine. And I would invite the Moderators to use whatever means they have to check that any further posts do not bear my Internet Provider address. If posts appear it will be because someone is trying to pretend to sound like me to deliberatly keep this fiasco going. Goodbye and it has been good to talk to a few of you,

This could be a great forum if OOT would permanently disappear.

Unemployment insurance is intended to provide a temporary benefit sufficient to satisfy the basic needs of workers who have demonstrated an attachment to the workforce and who have become unemployed through no fault of their own. Unemployment insurance was not intended to guarantee an employee’s standard of living during periods of unemployment.
In 1995, then-Gov. John Engler signed Public Act 25 into law, significantly reforming Michigan’s UI law and bringing benefit payments more in line with other states. Specifically, the law lowered the weekly benefit amount by three percentage points from 70 percent to 67 percent of after-tax earnings, and removed a 1981 provision that allowed the maximum weekly benefit to increase regardless of the UI trust fund solvency. The law increased the maximum weekly benefit rate from $293 to $300 and provided that further increases require legislative approval.

States are free to determine the eligibility criteria and the level of benefits payable. Michigan requires that a UI applicant show a reasonable prior attachment to the workplace to be eligible for UI benefits. To receive weekly benefits, Michigan requires applicants to be unemployed, have high quarter wages of 388.06 times the state minimum hourly wage, and base period wages 1.5 times the high quarter wages.

The high quarter wage requirement is:

$1,998 for benefit years beginning prior to 4/1/2007
$2,697 for benefit years beginning 4/1/2007 through 1/5/2008
$2,774 bor benefit years beginning 1/6/2008 through 1/3/2009
$2,871 for benefit years beginning on or after 1/4/2009

Applicants must certify that they are able, available and seeking full-time work. Employees who quit a job or are discharged for work-connected misconduct are disqualified from receiving benefits. However, disqualified workers can requalify for benefits by obtaining new employment.

Unemployed workers now receive 4.1 percent of high quarter earnings plus $6 per dependent (limited to five) up to $362. An unemployed worker can collect up to 26 weeks of benefits during a 52-week benefit year. During periods of high unemployment, unemployed workers may become eligible for an additional 13 weeks of extended benefits.

Today, the UIA pays out about $1.7 billion a year in regular UI benefits

I just wanted to say I wrote a formal complaint about OOT/Jackie and Kim to the board administrators asking for their removal from this site even though I know it is 1 person. Let me also remind making public threats and soliciting personal information under false pretenses is also crimes on the internet these days.

Reading how you have destroyed this forum for the last 5 pages I am sure the mods will have no problem seeing why there is a problem and who is to blame. Back off now or this will not end well for you. I have copied and printed out all the posts. Filters won’t work if you continue to press this. Go away.

    Signed,
The Board needing this extension not a soap opera

Say whatever you want. This is the LAW.

    Publication of Private Facts

In most states, you can be sued for publishing private facts about another person, even if those facts are true. The term “private facts” refers to information about someone’s personal life that has not previously been revealed to the public, that is not of legitimate public concern, and the publication of which would be offensive to a reasonable person. For example, writing about a person’s HIV status, sexual orientation, or financial troubles could lead to liability for publication of private facts. However, the law protects you when you publish information that is newsworthy, regardless of whether someone else would like you to keep that information private. In addition, the law protects you if you publish information already exposed to the public eye and especially material obtained from publicly available court records. Despite the law’s substantial protections for legitimate reporting on matters of public interest, it is a good practice to obtain consent before publishing sensitive private information about someone.

The legal claim known as “publication of private facts” is a species of invasion of privacy. You commit this kind of invasion of privacy by publishing private facts about an individual, the publication of which would be offensive to a reasonable person. This legal claim can only be successful, however, if the facts in question are not legitimately newsworthy.

So, for instance, if you disclose the fact that your neighbor has an embarrassing health condition, you might be liable for publication of private facts. If, however, this medical condition is particularly relevant to some topic of public interest — say, your neighbor’s fitness to serve in public office, a court might find that your publication is lawful.

Determining what facts are of legitimate public concern is often difficult to determine, so you may want to get permission before disclosing potentially embarrassing information about an individual you interview or write about.

Nothing is newsworthy. You have no reputation here. you are a delusional idiot. No one knows anything about you except that you are loony tunes. This is a private forum about an unemployment extension. You are just mentally ill and people have had enough of it that depend on this board for information about the bill. Keep pasting up laws that don’t pertain to you what a joke!

So your opinion is that it is just fine to post on a public forum whatever information someone sends you in a personal email? Is that true?

  • Anonymous 09/15/2008 7:35pm

We need PEOPLE here who are going to fight for this extension and help us get up to date information to help us feed our families.

Please leave this site if you have nothing petinent to include.
  • Anonymous 09/15/2008 7:37pm

We need to get to where we were before the previous extension and all come together to get this passed.

    Call your congressmen/women now!!!

  • Anonymous 09/15/2008 7:38pm

    Let’s get it together!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Anonymous 09/15/2008 7:55pm

Why is this bizarre behavior allowed to go on? I thought this was a UI extension forum?
