No it is not fraud. I am still filing on line and my benefits are up.
It says " After I fill in the data and send, it replys “you have no benefits left. If you are still unemployed after Nov 8 you can reapply.” By signing in every week, they know who is still unemployed.

Not all states are the same, here in NJ if you have no money left in your UI balance..no way they let you sign in every week!

Unemeployment rates are done by your States Labor Dept.every month asking employers how many are employed with them to get a idea how many are unemployed…there is no exact figure..just a rough idea.

I can’t say for sure, but it seems the UI extension should pass..the House voted for it, Obama for it, Bush in past talk said he sign it (just the UI though)..hope some tears stop, we all are in same boat..its a shame what is happening to us.

Do a search in Yahoo news for “layoffs” no wonder its such a challange to get a job, so many places are laying off workers and\or not hiring, every day there are more out of work.

I’m trying to keep postitive thoughts, hoping to get a job. What’s amazing is I am also applying for “survival jobs” even the part time minimum wage and I am not being called for interviews. I find out they hire people who’s last job was a similar minimum wage job.

The UI rate for my county for August is 6.4%, I will wild guess its higher for September when they publish the numbers, as there have been several large scale layoffs in area.
