so you are saying that 7110 may or may not be for all states? but on thomas, one 711o is for states over 6% and one is for states over 6.5% from what I can see neither are for the entire country

I thought this bill was 7 weeks extended and another 13 weeks with states UI rate 6.5 or higher .. Is this right or not?

-NEW YORK STATE-I believe that some of you are somewhat confused and puzzled as you “SHOULD BE”!
The 6.0% & 6.5% clauses that are being mentioned in “Both” versions of this bill “7110” are referring to when “Any”
State’s “UNEMPLOYMENT RATE” is at 6.0% then jumps to 6.5% it activates a law called a “TRIGGER”. This means that when a state is at this level additional “EMERGENCY BENEFIT WEEKS” automatically “KICK” in, ie: from 13-weeks to 20-weeks depending on the “State” that you reside in and that “State’s” unemployment laws. For more info on what a “State Unemployment Trigger” or “State Threshold Trigger” is just “Google” these terms.

Does any 1 know if this bill is being voted on today ..already pass in the House ..Senats voting on it today?
my question: NYS was at 5.7 at end of Aug. If it turns upwardd (because of wall st. mess and loss of jobs) and
reaches the threshold after bill is signed, would NYS then become eligable for the additional weeks at that time or will they freeze it at time of signature? Does anybody have factual information on this?
Why are some posters filtering New York State? They are not a troll and never have been. I think you’re wasting your time talking of triggers, and NYS is correct. People have been posting older numbers on the forums.

Why have all of New York State’s posts been removed from this forum? That persons information was spot on! This is really bad. That person shared vital and important information. I noticed that all of that person’s posts were removed. New York State seemed to me as if not the only sane and informativ individual in this forum. Whomever is responsible for the removal of his/her vital information, I only have one thing to think of right now: (YOU WILL REAP WHAT YOU SOW!)

In the midst of discussions over the $700 billion bailout plan, Santa Barbara’s local congresswoman, Lois Capps, voted for two bills that seek to spur economic development and create jobs.
The U.S. House of Representatives passed the Job Creation and Unemployment Relief Act and the Renewable Energy and Job Creation Tax Act on Friday, Sept. 26. The bills will soon come before the Senate for a vote.

that was a good thing. If they want to the democrats can now add an unemployment extension to the bailout. It also means they can not go home and be gone till next year they have to stay till they figure something out, it gives us more time. Keep pressing your represinitives for an unemployment extension for all states

last few comments seem to be right on….let’s really use ths failure to pass the bailout as our big opportunity to get the extension pushed through. We might have just found our answer. Bombard them with calls, faxes, e-mails. We can’t let them forget us.
you have to quit using the sheople word “main street” and start talking about unemployment. If push came to shove the unemployment extension would be the first thing puled out of the stimulus package(history repeats itself). This stimulus package is the reason that we don’t already have an extension.
See these people are manipulating you by getting you to believe “mainsteet = unemployed” it doesn’t, you have been brainwashed into supporting something that will not help you. Do not ask for help for main street ask for help for the unemployed.

Anouther thing every time you set down to your computer google unemployent extension then loog in google news so it counts as two searches, the politisions moniter Google trends to see what is on peoples minds, so do new agencies, search fro in for on unemployment seversl times a day..
google.com/trends is a sight the moniters every search on the web and every news story. to see how it works go there and enter “paris hilton, unemployment” it will show a graff of news stories and internet searches covering the two.
