Can we try to keep a positive tone on this forum, please.

First off there is no way the Dems could add the UI extension to the bailout bill. It would have made that mess… messier.

Who cares if the extension passes under HR7110 or VXYZ. The Dems are doing the best they can to implement it before the break. The blame game does no one any good. Let’s see what happens over the next few days.

Most of us are stressed out to the max anyway, let’s try not to make it worse amongst ourselves!

Why is that?

the leaders have refused to allow for an unemployment extension to be added to any other bills like the bailout or the CR that passed with a veto proof majority.

They are doing that to keep it in the stimulus(this bill)which is not meant to pass, the purpose of this bill is to provide a list of no votes for the upcoming election. People will be outraged that there is no extension, and polotitions will claim that they tried to pass unemployment but couldn’t

Positive absolutely but we must be honest we should not have people waste there efforts. We need to focus an unemployment extension that can pass. This bill can not pass everyone knows that. When making your calls just ask an unemployment extension not this stimulus, this stimulus is bad and hurts our cause.

Positive yes but we should net let people use this forum to manipulate people to push for things that are against their interests. 7110 is the reason that we do not have an extension yet.

Anonymous 09/28/2008 1:43pm

HR 7110 is a bad bill it is the 56 billion dollar stimulus that was never meant to pass, 7110 is the reason we do not have an unemployment extension, 7110 is why the democrats have refused to allow unemployment to be added to the CR or the bailout, 7110 is a political ploy used to manipulate voters int thinking the democrats tried to get an unemployment extension but the Pugs wouldn’t let them.

7110 is a insult to our intelligence. By pushing 7110 we will never get anything we need to focus on just getting an unemployment extension.

This bill will never pass it is just lip service to help the democrats get more votes in the election.

Don’t be a sheeple

Just an opinion, but what about staying at H.R. 6867? Let’s continue our fight where it will get already built up strength.

It’s the bill the House might use for a stand alone vote. Feels to me our splits with 6867, 3507, and now 7110, divide us rather than unite.

Anonymous 09/28/2008 4:52pm

this bill was not made to pass it is a bad bill, this bill is the reason we do not have an unemployment extension.

because bush said he willl veto it and there is no were near ennough support for it to pass by a veto proof margin, they can not even get ennough support in the senate to bring it to a vote, an unemployment extension should cost about 5 billion, this bill is over 56 billion.

It was never meant to pass, it is just political maneuver to help people get elected

I thought the point was to have a productive forum not just waste lots of space with not information, why would you want to create a forum sysmply to waste spave and peoples time, people come for information not status.

Am I reading this Bill hr7110 right? I’m reading it is for extended unemployment benefits only for States over 6.5%

Can someone else check this wordage and post back.

Look at line 2C 1 on the page

Anonymous 09/28/2008 4:55pm

everyone knows that this bill will never pass, please spend you effort trying to get 6867 or 2544 voted on those would pass, this one never will

Anonymous 09/29/2008 1:55am

Wow there is only a small spec of unemployment extension in 7110 only for states at over 6.5%, this is a bad bill over 56 billion in the bill less then 2 billion to help us. Why ficht for a bill that excludes 45 states, no one will this bill can not pass but the stupid people will be like, well at the the dems tried to pass an extension even if it was only for states over 6.5% but the bad republicans didn’t let it happen.

This bill is a joke we need to push for 6867 or 2544 something for all all states and something that would pass if the dems would allow for a vote on it.

Why have all of New York State’s posts been removed from this forum? That persons information was spot on! This is really bad. That person shared vital and important information. I noticed that all of that person’s posts were removed. New York State seemed to me as if not the only sane and informativ individual in this forum. Whomever is responsible for the removal of his/her vital information, I only have one thing to think of right now: (YOU WILL REAP WHAT YOU SOW!)

When they passed the last one, Nancy Pelosi held the cards very close to her chest. It was not talked about in the papers. We all looked and looked and didn’t see anything. It was just like it is now. The press was completely uninterested in it too. Even when it passed, the press barely commented. It doesn’t mean anything that the press isn’t talking about it. Pelosi fooled us all last time, we all thought that she didn’t plan for it to pus for it and she pulled it out of her hat at the end. We can only wait and see and stay vocal about it. They have a lot to distract them right now. What’s going on is a pretty big deal. We have to keep it in their minds. I agree with someone who says that this bill, 7110 won’t pass. It is in our best interest that they vote on it as a stand alone bill , or put it with a more popular bill. I think that when we call and write to them we should ask them to please don’t include it with H.R. 7110

At least this bill’s comment page isn’t filled up with irrelevant bull.

yes that is the point of this bill it is not meant to pass, it is created to manipulate stupid people that have not been following the lack of action on an unemployment extension

abaratar 09/28/2008 2:24pm

no bush will not sighn this bill, he has already said he wouldn’t the is the 56 billion dollar stimulus, we need to press for an unemployment extension not this stimulus, this bill is the reason that we do not have an extension yet.

I’ve seen that. Let’s pray. It is really up to the lame ducks, and Bush to get this passed. He was against it in the past. Supposedly this should be brought up Nov. 17th in a lame duck Congress session.

Anonymous 09/28/2008 2:21pm

When is the Senate going to vote on this? If it passed the House with 62% (just slightly less than 2/3) do you think Bushman will sign it?

Anonymous 09/28/2008 2:23pm

Monday is a jewish festival- New Year. I would expect they will vote for it Tuesday. If it doesnt pass, I think you will see a couple of anti- republican ads spun off the voting record- this person voted for Wall St but not Main St— LOL

Anonymous 09/28/2008 5:01pm

Why is this a bad bill? I’ve seen worse shit pass, They gave the Big three 28 billion so they can retool and build electric cars, what have they been doing for the last ten years??

Anonymous 09/29/2008 6:30am

Why are some posters filtering New York State? They are not a troll and never have been. I think you’re wasting your time talking of triggers, and NYS is correct. People have been posting older numbers on the forums.

you have to quit using the sheople word “main street” and start talking about unemployment. If push came to shove the unemployment extension would be the first thing puled out of the stimulus package(history repeats itself). This stimulus package is the reason that we don’t already have an extension.
See these people are manipulating you by getting you to believe “mainsteet = unemployed” it doesn’t, you have been brainwashed into supporting something that will not help you. Do not ask for help for main street ask for help for the unemployed.

Those that control the language control the thought processes and the argument. Don’t fall for it.
