WHY WON’T CONGRES AND THE LEGISLATIVE FOLKS (who are spending our tax dollars) FOCUS ON THE MAJOR ISSUES AND STOP WITH THE LITTLE NUGGETS THAT GET VERY LITTLE ATTENTION. FOCUS ON ERADICATING THE RODENT POPULATION. nOW THAT WE HAVE MORE IMMIRGRANTS WE HAVE MORE RATS AND ROACHES.

This is a blatant attempt to eradicate the last remaining wild horses and burros from the American plains. Despite studies showing that horses are wildlife and indigenous, the BLM may take this as a go-ahead to remove every single horse and burro from public and private lands. As it is, there are 8 million cattle on those lands, ranchers paying $1.50 per head for grazing rites on public, taxpayer supported lands, that means that the US taxpayer is unknowingly supporting the rancher. The result?

The federal Bureau of Land Management (BLM) is proposing a new grazing system on Wyoming public lands for a private livestock allotment known as Green Mountain. The new plan has critical implications for three wild horse Herd Management Areas (HMAs): BLM itself admits that the proposed miles of new fences would cause an increase in wild horse mortality

THE BLM’S REASON FOR THE REMOVAL OF THESE HORSES IS BASED ON BIASED AND FLAWED REASONING: http://articles.latimes.com/2005/jun/18/nation/na-grazing18

    Why’re they’re doing it:

If looking to eradicate “harmful non-native species” they can start with the 8 million cattle they have on public and private lands. Cattle are non-native and destructive to the environment in countless ways. Yet they don’t have a word to say about that. No plans to remove the 8 million cattle, only plans to add more cattle.8 million cattle, less than 19,000 wild horses remaining spread across 10 US states, yet that’s too many say the ranchers and the BLM, who is supposed to protect these horses can’t work fast enough to eradicate them.

Unless H.R. 767 is amended to EXCLUDE the wild horses and burros before it reaches a vote in the Senate, this and worse will be happening to all wild horses and burros. Remember, what you see on this link is a WILDLIFE REFUGE, you know, made to provide a safe environment. Not really, wildlife refuges are now just collection sites for agencies like the BLM to eradicate those in them.
