Is THIS what we send people to Washington, DC for???

How about REAL issues, such as ILLEGAL IMMIGRATION, BORDER SECURITY, DEFENSE AGAINST TERRORISM??

Of course, college football MUST be more important.

    Jackasses….

Whether you like it or not. It is big business, and it is operated differently, and less efficiently, than all other sports. It should be noted that most of the Universities affected are PUBLIC universities.

If you pay any attention at all, you would know that there are literally hundreds of bills that are of far less interest to the general public.

Also, note that there are many immigration bills being proposed and have yet to be agreed on. Terrorism, though, Im afraid you are looking in the wrong place to fix that. I dont think you can legislate terrorism out.

College football IS important. It provides a great deal of revenue and exposure to learning institutions as well as providing for many local economies throughout the nation. It has economic implications as well as educational implications, which is why it currently resides in the Education and Labor Committee

Surely you also understand committees? I doubt that the Education and Labor Committee will be spending much time on Terrorism and Immigration.

Learn how your government works. Learn how the economy works.
