Requests the Secretary of Defense to:
(1) remove members of the U.S. Armed Forces from street patrol duty in Iraq no later than six months after the adoption of this resolution, with the exception of members training Iraqi troops for such duty; and r />(2) ensure that U.S. personnel taken off such duty are used to fortify sensitive areas in Iraq, protect Iraqi government officials, entities, and functions, and respond to destabilizing emergencies throughout Iraq.
