I fail to see how allowing the sale of baby turtles, shown to cause thousands of cases of salmonellosis a year (Cohen ML, Potter M, Pollard R, Feldman RA: Turtle-associated
salmonellosis in the United States: effect of public health action,1970 to 1976. JAMA 1980;243: 1247-79) is a pharmaceutical access issue. Unless you need access to the drugs to cure the disease they will cause.

With the passing of S 1082, the Food and Drug Company effectively becomes a drug company that is guaranteed $350 million in fees from Big Pharma and none of their research has to be bogged down with any actual science. Think we have health problems now, just wait.
