Please lay out your concept of “help” and how one can be owned by the government. What are the specific implications of being owned by the government?

Are there ever instances when help can be a good thing?

For instance, if you woke up tomorrow with a deadly disease that could be treated, but it would cost $1 million for the treatment and you didn’t have the $1 million or have any friends with $1 million, would it be ok for tax payer dollars to help save your life? Or would you prefer to die in defense of your political philosophy?

We already pay over 50 cents for every dollar we earn for our own country’s taxes. We will have them raised again after the next election. I do give to help the poor here and in other countries. But it is my choice. I would rather give freely then to “give” by force. This bill is frightening to our country’s autonomy. We are drowning economically due to our Senators/Representatives thinking our money is theirs to take.

so if the people in the other country are hungry we’re automatically in charge and we can overstep that country’s leadership and take responsibility (for the sake of the people). on the other hand the war in iraq, a rich country where people were brutally murdered by their own government, is wrong because ‘that’ was a sovereign nation.

If you really believe that the rich have too much and don’t pay their fare share, why do you keep passing bills that take money from me? I can’t find a job. Shouldn’t we fix the jobs issue first? If you want to help people overseas (or in Mexico) the best thing you can do is to go there (and then play god).
