It’s time the democrats got off their butts and stopped thinking about the animals and turned their attention to the humans that elect them. DRILL here and in Alaska, NOW
If there is a way to drill without harming animals, there would be drilling yesterday.
What a fluke this bill is. Drill more is like saying cut more trees down to bring down lumber costs. Congress looks for a quick fix to get re-elected and we get stuck with the disaster that occurs years after they are gone. Oil is a limited resource just like everything else. Hey guess what? The sun as far as we know is an unlimited resource. Why not spend the millions finding a long term solution? Drill more….please wake up clueless America and stop living minute by minute…that’s the kind of thinking short term politicians want you to have.
Do you folks really think this country will be around is 10, 20 or 30 years if we don’t have more oil to support us now. And where are we going to get the money to do the research for different sources of energy if we keep sending our money over seas to buy their oil. The bottom line if we don’t drill here drill now, in a short period we will either be taken over by a country that won’t give a damm what you think, we will sell off part of the country to other countries and they won’t give a damm whay you think, or we will become a country that so improvished that you won’t give a damm what you think now. I’d rather give a damm not rather then later.
Watch this one. It contains sideways language.
The price of the gas price reduction act. s3202
Time for a new act.
Great name for a bill in these times. If you really read it you will see who it will benefit most.
This Bill contains provisions for encouraging one of the dirtiest and least efficient energy sources around. Shale mining is used in Canada, just do a google search for images and info and you will see the devastation it does. Conservation values aside. It also takes enormous amounts of energy to extract. Often enough it takes so much energy to extract and at such a great price that it is one of the least effective means of energy.
It also can permanantly pollutes water supplys used in its extracting.
This bill contains provisions and incentives for Shale mining.
It also contains provisions for LOANS for Oil companies to drill more offshore and to Mine in our national parks.
Pushes to open our national parks to making a profit through drilling, oil sales of natural resources etc.
It offers loans for companies interested in shale mining.
It does provide tax incentives for developing new fuel sources but I do not see any loans or real money being offered to develop these alternative sources.
if you want to some links about what shale mining is etc I found a non-partisan article.
This article is written by someone who wrote a thesis promoting shale mining. He mentions the pros and cons.

Please be fully informed. It is called one thing…but it is
is not going to help us long term. It will help the same people who
had no pitty on us when the prices for a gallon of gas surpassed dollars a gallon.
