THERE IS A SERIOUS PROBLEM WITH THIS RULE. THE QUESTION OF ILLEGALS USING THIS RULE TO PENETRATE THE U.S. IS MORE THAN JUST OBVIOUS. I WOULD SUGGEST THAT A CLOSER WATCH BE APPLIED AS AN ILLEGAL CAN MOVE INTO THIS AREA WITH EASE.

Scrutiny should be placed on ALL areas Immigration areas, not just the R-1 as it is unfair for EVERYONE to pay the price for a few bad people. It is crazy to think that this bill has not affected thousands of lives, so many people and their families will have to be uprooted. I am not saying that the R-1 should not be ammended, I am simply asking the US Government to have a heart and look closely at all the lives that are being affected as I am one of those that came to the US and have been doing Church work for many years PRO BONO. My application was finally approved in September, only to realize a deadline date of March 1 2009. How unfair is that?? I am just saddened and heartbroken. I enjoy working at my church and now it can only be for a few months (WITH PAY) now! I pray that God shows us mercy and favor and they grant a “stay of execution”, please….. there are so many deserving people who enjoy working for the church, who give their lives, energies and talents to grow Youth Ministries, Dance Ministries, Drama Ministries and so many other “GROWTH” Ministries for the Church here in the US. I pray God grants us mercy & grace.
