OpenCongress Summary
This is a non-binding resolution that expresses Congress' disapproval of President Bush's January 10, 2007 plan to deploy more than 20,000 additional troops to the American-led war in Iraq. This resolution also states that Congress will continue to support the troops that are currently in Iraq, but contains no language to prevent Congress from cutting funding in the future, in order to limit the war. It differs only slightly from its corresponding House version, in that it includes language to require a report every 30 days, outlining U.S. policy and military operations in Iraq.Official Summary
