What business do we have perpetuating our “world police” role that is ruining our nation in the eyes of the world. The policies that FORCE other nations to become democratic are not much different than the fanatics that we call terrorists. Besides, look how well our country is doing at the moment. WE MUST FIX OUR OWN PROBLEMS BEFORE WE TRY TO FIX ANY OTHERS.

I wholeheartedly agree! I would add that we have no business interacting where we’re not asked to. If we disagree with them then don’t do business with them. If they mess with us, retaliate in kind. It’s really that simple.

Regardless of idiology, the US should not appropriating any funds to endeavors on foreign soil. We’re broke. Our kids are already more in debted than they’ll be able to earn for the first 30 years of their lives(If we want to make an impact over there, get out of Isreal’s way the next time they’re attacked.)

Things are getting way out of hand with our gov’t. They are not listening. We have got to MAKE them hear us! Any suggestions? I write my congressmen almost daily and I get an automated response email or letter. I’m sick of this! Is anyone else as tired as I am? It seems that others are speaking out as well with no response. Our gov’t officials are supposed to work for us! I am attending a ‘TEA Party’ on April 15th but who’s to say that will work? I think we need a revolt! If everyone in America stopped paying taxes would they listen? I think they would have to! We could all claim married and 9 and then refuse to pay. I don’t think that is unAmerican. I am all for strengthening sanctions, closing boarders, and suspending trade with all countries that don’t follow the rules of a civil society or work and play well with others.

We shouldn’t have business with countries like Syria, Saudi Arabia, and others who abuse human rights. But I disagree with the basic language of this bill, which sounds very World Police-esque.
