The bankers and oligarchs behind the scenes run things and have for years. Both democrat and republicans are puppets backed by the same banks. To get a clearer picture you can see the campaign contributions of candidates online. We need to elect a patriot that is backed by the people and not the parties. The press is also a tool of these puppet masters. In my opinion the best candidate in the last election got no media coverage and many have never heard of him. Why? Defending our rights, implementing a free market system and demanding smaller government was not a popular platform. Check out Rep. Ron Paul of TX, constitutionalist, if enough of us voted outside the parties we can take back our country!

I don't understand why the fed reserves plays such a big role in our government, especially since it is a not a government owned facility, it is privately owned. WTF!Audit them yeah!

Nice to see that people Are, this far advanced from the catalyzing event of the Bushies, in concert with their Mossad and CIA operative in 9/01, that people are STILL waking up.

Abraham Lincoln and Andrew Jackson warned us about this.

One of the greatest insults the U.S. government has perpetrated was putting Jackson's picture on Federal Reserve currency.

I woke up 2 years ago when Ron Paul's campaign shook me from my fed/gov induced sleep. I believe if this bill passes there will be millions of people waking up.

Proud to see my representative on the co-sponsor list.

Can someone PLEASE explain to me how it is unreasonable for the US to audit it's monetary system. Obviously there needs to be knowledge of what the Fed is doing, otherwise we could be taken advantage of without knowing the wiser. My senators (MD and FL) can expect angry letters and calls from me if something doesn't change and this bill doesn't pass!

Everybody needs to come together and SLAM thier delegates with letters, faxes, phone calls, and E-mails DEMANDING that this leglislation be passed. If they don't agree with us, assure them that you will personally do everything within your power to make sure that they are voted out. It really works! When I pestered the "undecided" Representatives on cap & tax, many aides said that the representatives had decided to not support the bill due to call and mail volume.
What's happening right now is ridiculous! Right now, we still have the right to free speech- let's use it and wake these idiots up!!

Though Nancy Pelosi is obviously a supporter of the Obama Adminstration's idea that the Federal Reserve does not need to be audited and rather be given a substantial role as a regulator on Wall Street, she has given the House Finance Committee the green light to mark-up the bill. They've already brought in some Fed Board Members and Mr. Geithner for testimony and are making it even more potent before they hand it off to the Rules Committee. There, Pelosi will show her true colors.

Sen. Jim DeMint keeps trying to tack it onto appropriations bills, which is against Rule 16 though Democrats still put their unrelated bills in as amendments. Eventually, I think the amendment will not violate the rules and the Senate will have no choice but to pass it. Then it will pass in full too.

In my honest opinion, this is probably the most important piece of legislation introduced into the House, along with H.R. 833 and H.R. 1348, and with 271 co-sponsors, it's apparent that some members of Congress aren't as unintelligent as I thought, not to mention The FED and our currency are clear violations of the Constitution.

Why isn't my congresswoman, Niki Tsongas, on any bill that makes sense? is she in bed with Barney Frank? Nancy Pelosi? You know, I consider myself a Democrat, but I think we can all agree that if we don't have sound money, this system will collapse. LET'S GET ON THE BALL TSONGAS.

“Inflationism, however, is not an isolated phenomenon. It is only one piece in the total framework of politico-economic and socio-philosophical ideas of our time. Just as the sound money policy of gold standard advocates went hand in hand with classical liberalism, free trade, capitalism and peace, so is inflationism part and parcel of imperialism, militarism, protectionism, statism and socialism.” -Ludwig von Mises

“Inflation has always been an important resource of policies of war and revolution and why we also find it in the service of socialism.” -Ludwig von Mises

This is a wonderful bill. It is at least a good start. This process needs to end with the complete and total obliteration of the Fed. It is the instrument that the elite world bankers have been using to usurp this country since its inception in 1913.

like my uncle said "My take is that we need to follow the money, it will tell you who is in control. In many ways it is like gangsters are now running our country. While the heartland of this country is predominantly moral, these big city politicians aren't. Therefore the only rule they follow is their stomach, their appetite for greed. Does anyone seriously think that Barny Frank or Nancy Pelosi or Barack Obama has ever produced anything in the economy? Have they ever had dirt under their fingernails? Have they ever turned a profit, or met a payroll? Yet, they are the ones in charge of the largest economy on earth. Amazing. The fix is in."

Yes, let's audit the "Federal" Reserve. Then abolish it, replacing it with a equally corrupt global central bank having a single, global currency, the UNero.

Eventually President Lincoln was advised to get Congress to pass a law authorizing the printing of full legal tender Treasury notes to pay for the War effort. Lincoln recognized the great benefits of this issue. At one point hi wrote:

"... (we) gave the people of this Republic the greatest blessing they have ever had - their own paper money to pay their own debts..."

The Treasury notes were printed with green ink on the back, so the people called them "Greenbacks".

"The London Times" printed the following:

"if that mischievous financial policy, which had its origin in the North American Republic, should become indurated down to a fixture, then that Government will furnish its own money without cost. It will pay off debts and be without a debt. It will have all the money necessary to carry on its commerce. It will become prosperous beyond precedent in th history of the civilized governments of the world. The brains and the wealth of all countries will go to North America. That government must be destroyed, or it will destroy every monarchy on the globe."

The Bankers obviously understood. The only thing, I repeat, the only thing that is a threat to their power is sovereign governments printing interest-free and debt-free paper money. They know it would break the power of the international Bankers.

In 1972, the United States Treasury Department was asked to compute the amount of interest that would have been paid if that 400 million dollars would have been borrowed at interest instead of being issued by Abraham Lincoln. They did some computations, and a few weeks later, the United States Treasury Department said the United States Government saved 4 billion dollars in interest because Lincoln had created his own money. So you can about imagine how much the Government has paid and how much we owe solely on the basis of interest

President Kennedy was not afraid to "buck the system", for he understood how the Federal Reserve System was being used to destroy the United States. As a just and honorable man, he could not tolerate such a system, for it smelled corruption from A to Z. Certainly he must have known about the Greenbacks which Abraham Lincoln created when he was in office.

On June 4th, 1963, President Kennedy signed a presidential document, called Executive Order 11110, which further amended Executive order 10289 of September 19th, 1951. This gave Kennedy, as President of the United States, legal clearance to create his own money to run the country, money that would belong to the people, an interest and debt-free money. He had printed United States Notes, completely ignoring the Federal Reserve Notes from the private banks of the Federal Reserve.

It is interesting to note that, only one day after Kennedy's assassination, all the United States notes which Kennedy had issued were called out of circulation. Was this through an executive order of the newly-installed president, Lyndon B. Johnson? Or was he one of their instruments? At any rate, all of the money President Kennedy had created was destroyed. And not a word was said to the American people.

Really, folks, this is one of the top bills. No coverage on the news at all. This is above Card Check, yet gets much less press. It is time to get this audit done.
