There are only 4 types of energy that we use today. Coal, Natural Gas, Nuclear, and Oil. Batteries, Electricity, Hydrogen. need one of the other sources to make them. If you want to stop importing Oil; Natural Gas in the Vehicle to supply the electricity no debt is the answer. This is a very important step. It can’t be done soon enough. Wind and Sun someday but we can’t wait. We need to do something NOW.

This bill is not about clean energy. It is about lining the pockets of T boon pickins and jeff inmmelt. These people have you guys cheering them for all the wonderful green stuff like wind mills and Nat gas meanwhile they only care about money and power.
Do you know that ge is building billions of dollars of windmills t boon is building a wind farm in the desert and they want us (the tax payers)
to spend 15 to 20 billion to build the transmission lines to a population center. That is more money than ge or pickins spending and you guys are supporting this. Wake up these are the evil corporations you guys hate.

Just like you pipemann, T. Boone Pikens gets up everyday and goes to work. It’s called a JOB, pipemann. When people go to work, they expect to get paid. I see you complaining about a man who wants to get paid for offering a logical solution to oil dependency. We see natural gas as a solution and he has natural gas. It’s this thing called supply and demand. I see you have issues with a man who has spent MILLIONS of his own money to get the ball rolling on some very expensive but neccessary new technology. It would be nice to hear your informed, educated and well researched solution to our dependence on foreign oil.

In aviation, where would we be without Howard Hughes. He made a lot of money too!

Currently we are importing crude and “exporting” American dollars to the tune of 25 billion dollars each month. In August 2009 that figure approximated 30 billion dollars. Regardless, that is a quarter trillion dollars flowing OUT of this country and ultimately going far toward funding Islamic terrorism.

This is insanity personified especially when we have a SUPERIOR transportation fuel that can power cars, trucks, heavy equipment, locomotives and jet aircraft. All means of mass transit vehicles—-school busses, city busses—should be fueled with American natural gas. Its cleaner, available, abundant, cheaper and mechanically superior than gasoline and diesel derived from OPEC controlled crude. Our dependence on crude has an added national defense cost of around $2.00 per gallon of gasoline over that paid at the pump. (Wars and open sea lanes are hardly free)

American domestic natural provides us with the means to end that ruinous dependency. We absolutely need to do so.
