It is sad when a gabage man makes more than a school teacher. Nothing wrong with handling waste, it is very important to our society. But I think teachers have a more important role in children lives, only behind the parents of the child. The reason why teachers get paid so little is because government pays for education. All schools are rated A through F, of course A being the best and F being the worst. But if a school is rated F, then it receives more money to help with better future rankings. That’s right, An F-rated school would receive more money than an A-rated school…
LOOK AT THIS!!! If the free market would regulate schools, the best teachers would get the best pay because schools would have to maintain their high rating to receive their extra funds. You reward success, not failure. School is just like a business and they are rated by test scores. If you reward the best schools, you get better education system. Schools would invest in teachers who deserve it.
