    For years all I’ve heard from employees of the Postal Service, is that they are NOT government employees and do NOT work for the US Government, so with that being said, they have no claim on ANY government retirement funds, nor any government benefits. If they don’t work for the government, then they are in fact their own entity and business, and the taxpayers should NOT have to provide any benefits to them just as they would not provide any benefits for Walmart employees!

    Not sure what you’re talking about apache01. This bill deals with the USPS paying into it’s own Retiree Benefit Fund to fund USPS retirees. This has nothing to do with tax payer money. Congress mandated these pre-fund payments back in 2007. They are quite unfair and place a huge burden on the postal service, especially in this recession. This bill would allow a smaller payment for this year, helping to reduce the projected losses.
