This bill is just another step towards the further indoctrination of All school children in the advancement and acceptance of the Homosexual agenda. Gee whiz, call it what it is – another bill that will be used to protect a certain group of folks.
This bill uses the sad issue of bullying to force school indoctrination programs advocating homosexuality for both students and teachers. Bullying can be stopped now—-every school already knows how to do this. States where this type of bill has already passed have these one-sided programs embracing homosexuality. Unless you think this is a subject for grade schoolers, and unless you love suppressing freedom of speech and religion, you will oppose this unnecessary propaganda bill.
PRINCIPLE: AGAINST
States Rights – Local school policy can address
Many states already have anti-school bullying laws and programs on the books. How will this bill interact with those bills? Will it supercede them?
We should teach respect for all people in our schools because it creates a positive atmosphere where learning can occur and the main focus is on obtaining an education. The homosexual agenda is for everyone to be treated fairly. Children should not harassed to the point that they commit suicide or drop out of school because they are homosexual or are perceived to be homosexual. Expressing approval or disapproval of homosexuality should not be the focus of education facilities in our country.
While I am supportive of addressing this issue, I am concerned that it will not curb the problem. According to research on the bullying prevalence of LGBTQ youth, much of the problem is the failure of school staff and personnel to intervene when it occurs. I think our adults are the ones who need to be addressed as well.
