You still follow that “Democrats v Republican” show?!
Haven’t you ever heared the term; “good cop, bad cop”?

I wonder how many of the fools who voted for this piece of garbage actually read it? They must be very old and plan to die soon so they won’t be affected by the extremely high power bills and the protests of the people they have betrayed. Can’t they move the elections up sooner?

Chavez railed against the alleged injustices of free markets, claiming that “a ghost is stalking the streets of Copenhagen… it’s capitalism, capitalism is that ghost.” He went on to assert that the “destructive model of capitalism is the eradication of life.”
“…our revolution seeks to help all people…socialism, the other ghost that is probably wandering around this room, that’s the way to save the planet, capitalism is the road to hell…let’s fight against capitalism and make it obey us.”
There are several ways that you can fight back against the transparent socialism convention in Copenhagen, and it starts with doTell Congress to stand up to the Obama administration’s attempts to blackmail legislators into criminalizing carbon with a simple act: Pass a bill that prohibits the EPA from using the Clean Air Act to regulate greenhouse gases, including carbon dioxide. By law, America cannot be bound to an international agreement without the consent of the Senate.!!!!!!

O.K. Last site, promise. I found this one today and it is actually the best one. http://www.teapartypatriots.org/Default.aspx

If you would take some time to read information about why many Americans are opposed to this bill, you will find that we are not “hate” mongerers. We love our country, care for the poor (who will most definitely be hurt by this legislation), and are greatly concerned for our children, and grandchildren’s future. We believe in a free market, not the government’s imposed regulations and control. I can barely afford my utilities now, if this passes I do not know what we are going to do.

This bill is nothing more than a way to steal money from taxpayers.
Look up Al Gore, G.E. NBC and Obama for details.
Wind turbines are made by G.E. who hope to gain money from this bill’s passing. Al Gore continues to get revenge for not being elected president and gets more rich, NBC is owned by G.E., and Obama continues to get favorable reports from the major networks, MSNBC, NBC, CNN, HLN. This bill will end in disaster as it only provides a handful of jobs to people, yet raises the costs of our energy use across the board.

so we should do something that makes no commen sense… “better”?!

Almost all of the institutions trading permits are owned by Al Gore or Goldman Sachs. This Cap and Trade system is nothing more than government-sanctioned FRAUD. This system is starting to look more and more like a criminal enterprise than a federal program. The biggest proponent of this program was Enron. I wonder why. This bill seems perfect ways for the Mafia, money-laundererers, and terrorist financiers to scam the system and gain easy funding for their nefarious activities. Anyone who administers this program, as well as anyone in Congress who votes for this fraud, should it become law, should be investigated and maybe prosecuted for fraud. These officials could keep Bernie Madoff company.

please stop insulting NASA. I recommend you actually read the literature on their website that explores the causes of climate change that they are observing on earth.
http://climate.jpl.nasa.gov/causes/
Here, ON THEIR WEBSITE, NASA states that "On Earth, human activities are changing the natural greenhouse. Over the last century the burning of fossil fuels like coal and oil has increased the concentration of atmospheric carbon dioxide (CO2). This happens because the coal or oil burning process combines carbon with oxygen in the air to make CO2. To a lesser extent, the clearing of land for agriculture, industry, and other human activities have increased concentrations of greenhouse gases.

Wow…people here get it. Is America waking up? Will it take that first time opening your “new” electric and gas bills? This is ridiculous. We need to march to DC and demand resignations from the people that are supposed to be representing us cause they aren’t. Here’s your change you can believe in America. I am getting in line for my Canadian citizenship tomorrow. We are now the land of the taxed and the home of the enslaved.

Yeah, I hope they update their website soon too, this fascinating effect that the sun has on the earth must be brand new information that was just discovered if NASA wasn’t aware of it! I wonder how they could have missed this? Oh, wait – they didn’t. From the SAME WEBPAGE.
“Eliminating One Suspect

How do we know that a hotter sun isn’t to blame for current global warming trend?

Since 1750, the average amount of energy coming from the sun either remained constant or increased slightly. Estimates of the amount of energy the sun has sent to Earth are based on sunspot records dating back more than two centuries, and other proxy indicators, such as the amount of carbon in tree rings. More recently, satellite observation of solar activity from space suggest a slight increase in solar activity, but the change can’t account for more than 10 percent of the warming trend seen during the past century."
owned.

For the 67 percent of those Americans who are opposed to this bill, check out the following link for a list of local rallies today across the country to peacefully protest:

Don’t you just love it when people have to resort to calling us “fear” and “hate” mongerers when we present the facts? I call it a badge of honor.

This bill is the biggest recruiting agent for a return to original Constitutional government. I pray to God we can do it peacefully.

We do not have a two-party system. “No matter who we vote in, the government wins.” Even these politicians are mere errand boys and girls for real elitists. Real elitists fund both parties and we bicker over the false choices we are handed to make.

Flash back to ‘06: Democratic congress elected to end the war. Nothing happened.
2008 election: Democratic president elected. We’ll surely end the war, right? Still nothing except shifting our wars around.
Think about how we are being played, election after election.

What this is really about is increasing government power to regulate more and more. This regulation and taxation will inevitably make the economy worse. Then we’ll need more bailouts, more takeovers, more power for the government and international power structures. We must stop allowing ourselves to be duped.

Again,

IF, and that is a big IF, you are truly a scientist YOU WOULD NEVER end your comments with a statement like this:

“…please present some of this ‘information that refutes all findings’ so I can show you how it’s wrong.”

YOU HAVE DISCREDITED YOURSELF THOROUGHLY! Thank you for saving the rest of us to do it for you.

YOU SIR ARE A FRAUD!

Actually, the world outside the U.S. is starting to question the validity of man-made global warming (see the Wall Street Journal article linked above). I agree, we need to stop funding Saudi Arabia, but this bill is not the answer. The environmental impact of wind farms and solar farms capable of producing enough power to replace coal-fired plants is at least equal to coal mining. Why is clean nuclear power not included in this bill? Why can’t we drill for oil here? Yes, it will take 10 years to see results, but wind and solar will also take time to develop. Why can’t we let our free markets do the work of finding better sources of energy? The government doesn’t need to be funding this.

The consensus on this is rapidly changing throughout the world: http://online.wsj.com/article/SB124597505076157449.html#mod=djemEditorialPage
There is plenty of evidence that refutes the above statement, and many scientists are willing to risk their reputations to speak out against man-made global warming.

As an Independent / Libertarian, wait until 2010 and we’ll see what party rises to the top. You had one statement right, “sustainable living is the new order of the day.” Perhaps you should have said, “new world order”. American’s will soon take back our Country from those who seek to destroy it and create the “new world order”. Not by violent means, rather by throwing the Liberals/Progressives to the curb and all their country killing philosophies. Perhaps if you, CommonSense, had any, you would be more than a sheep being lead by wayward shepherds to the slaughter!

bz00w4 06/26/2009 2:38pm

We, the People of the United States, Should Be Taxed for Global Warming Which Doesn’t Exist In Fact?? We, The Peple of the United States, Should Transfer BILLIONS of Dollars Overseas to Appease the United Nations Because We Are A Productive Nation??

As Adolph Hitler said 0ver 70 years ago, “The broad masses of a nation are always more easily corrupted in the deeper strata of their emotional nature than consciously or voluntarily; and thus in the primitive simplicity of their minds, they more readily fall victims to the big lie than the small lie, since they themselves often tell small lies in little matters but would be ashamed to resort to large-scale falsehoods. Therefore, make the lie big, make it simple, keep saying it, and eventually they will believe it. What good fortune for governments that the people do not think.”

God Help Us All!

lolmao500 06/25/2009 7:45pm

Water vapor in the air is also a greenhouse gas. We should ban it too! And tax it!

Let’s tax air and water… we already tax the earth. Next we’re gonna tax fire? The 4 elements taxed?

This is so ridiculous and SICK.

bradtumer 06/26/2009 4:15am

Really this is just like every other government. There’s the reason they claim to be doing it, and the reason they’re really doing it. They say that it’s to curtail greenhouse gases and reduce global warming, but it’s really just a way to increase taxes, increase taxes, reward friends, and punish enemies.

Read this article to see how monumentally government energy policies fail. http://www.thenation.com/doc/20090420/hayes

augrad1996 06/26/2009 3:56am

This bill is a tax on ALL Americans including those making under 250K which the President said he would not do. Also, there is disagreement among scientists that global warming is actually real. Why are we trying to fix something that may not be happening? MONEY maybe???? It seems like Pelosi, Gore and GE will see huge increases in wealth if this bill passes.
