California, our future is in your hands, vote this guy out before he does anymore damage. He also is co-sponsoring HR3200 which will devastate America. PLEASE, please, vote this guy out. Thank you in advance.
Ok guys, the government is not trying to take away your freedom... I don't know how effective the cap and trade system will be but something does have to be done. Now, as far as consumers having to pay more money, any costs will be minimal. The bill actually does include some stuff to protect you from that. Some revenue from the permit auctions would go to low/middle income households and also to households to help them make their homes more energy efficient. Having an energy efficient home actually saves money. Plus, help will be given to any worker who loses his/her job because of changes made.
Whatever you think about climate change, the rest of the modern world recognizes that clean energy and sustainable practices are the direction industry is taking. This bill is trying to ensure that we will remain an economic leader in the future. We already haven't been failing to compete in the auto industry for a long time.
