The plan they have allows them to choose between different private insurance plans in-which the goverment does not mandate coverage levels.
Members of congress and the President are exempt form enrolling in this plan because they are already enrolled in it. The public option that Obama has been talking about will give us the opportunity to buy into the same plan that members of congress are already using. It wouldn’t make sense to require them to enroll in a plan they are already using.

False congress has exempted themselves and their insurance plans from this bill,
name one provision in the Constitution that is being broken.

Well the answer that makes sense is because it’s a choice. They already get government health care. John McCain and Sarah Palin both do as well.
If there wasn’t a choice you’d be complaining about that.
What “plan” do all the people who haven’t read the bill keep referring to?
Is it the “plan” to have an exchange set up that we all get to choose from, including public and private options? If so, which of the options is it that they will need to choose from? Your choice or mine or your garbage man’s or the guy who fixes my watches? Shouldn’t there be some type of proof that you actually read the bill or had a clue regarding it’s contents before posting?

Reinstating the constitution would give the power back to the people. You need to read it. The government is the people. Right now it is working for the industries and not the people, by ways of money to elected officials in the form of lobbyists and campaign contributions. If you allow people to brainwash you, you won’t have your own voice. Visit and read the D.O.I.. “WE THE PEOPLE” so in essence if you don’t want big government you would want more industry corporations telling you what to do. Educating yourself on government would probably help you more before you post nonsense.We as people don’t have the power of money that these companies can throw around, so we need to rely on government to keep them in check. Saying you dont want more government is the same thing as saying you don’t like laws and you seem kind of mad you have to follow them. SEE I CAN READ INTO WHAT PEOPLE WRITE TOO. I agree totally. If there’s going to be any sort of healthcare reform in this country, it needs to be researched by an INDEPENDENT think tank, a plan developed and then presented to the American People who should be allowed TO VOTE ON IT!
That sort of considered study and research, to do it right, would take at least a couple of years. I’m sick this government trying to shove their personal political agenda down my throat.
Oh, in case you’re wondering who’s going to pay for this? It’s We The Taxpayer. In the HB3200 “Official” Summary it says anyone who OPTS OUT of any sort of healthcare coverage, will have to pay EXTRA TAXES. It says:
“Amends the Internal Revenue Code to impose a tax on:
(1) an individual without coverage under a health benefits plan”
This is INSANITY, it’s dictatorship, it’s garbage.
and who exactly is an “independent” think tank. if they came up with the same plan, you’d say they were biased. just because you don’t agree doesn’t mean it’s wrong.

No, it has to be rushed because millions are losing their jobs and when you lose a job, you lose your health care. This is simple people, I really don’t understand why this is difficult. We already have 47 million uninsured. After the lose of jobs this year and last year, do you know how America would look if that number grew to 100 million. We would look like Barbarians and rightfully so.
47 million is just a number! It includes those people who could get health insurance if they wanted it but opted not to. That is, as free citizens of a free country, their choice. When you get right down to it the number of people who want insurance but can’t get it is closer to 11 million.
And, the last time I looked, nowhere in the Constitution does it say you have the RIGHT to health care! Nor does it say anything about allowing the federal government to take my hard-earned money and giver it to someone else! In my own community, I already freely DONATE to charities and other organizations that help people when they need it. I truse those organizations far, far more than I do some bureaucratic pencil-pusher in Washington, DC. And, they ask nicely if I can afford to help! They don’t just tell me how much they are going to take out of my paycheck before I even see it!

Now on the 47 million uninsured, Nakia already know this. According the information gathered by the US Census a third of the uninsured make over $50,000 a year, 19% make over $75,000, a third of the uninsured qualify for medicaid but won’t take the time to sign up and 20% are illegal aliens. This bill does nothing to help illegal aliens yet Nakia still uses them in her number when talking about why we need this bill.
I do not agree with the idea that health insurance is a right of all humans. We all have a right to pursue happiness, health, etc., but it is not guaranteed. Anyone who would take from you to give to another is a thief. I want everyone to have equal opportunities, but it is not possible. I have a moral obiligation to help others when I have the ability, but no government has the moral authority to take from me to give to another. This always leads to tyranny. If the government wants to help others they should teach the golden rule, good moral principles and encourage. We have become to dependant on others (government). Please, stop pandering to others by saying we want everyone to have health insurance. It is not possible without lose of freedom. The cost is too high and I do not mean money.
I totally agree. Work for what you get and don’t expect a handout. This country was built on hard work not freebies. Illegal aliens already get too much by way of liquidating medicare and medicaid which by the way is for the disabled and elderly not illegal aliens. Why so I pay to help an illegal alien when they just lay about cranking mout kids hat they cn’t afford to have. I say neuter the males and spay the females.

I don’t understand why the push for health care reform in a socialized form. The number 45,000,000 sounds like a lot, but there are over 200,000,000 people in the US. Even if the 45,000,000 were an acurate portrayal of the numbers of uninsured citizens, it would still only amount to approximately 22%. That’s a relatively small percentage of people considering the outrage caused by the extras in this bill. The majority of that number choose not to be insured. I’ve heard the actual “want it but can’t afford it” number is closer to 8,000,000 which puts the percentage at less than four.
So, for 4% of americans some of the people are choosing a socialist agenda over the democracy that has made the US the strong country it is in the world today?

Some of us have read the bill, and that’s why at last check about 1/2 the country doesn’t support it.
If this health care plan is so great, please tell me why Congress and their families won’t have anything to do with it. They will keep their Congressional Health Care, they are also having a few others who will be able
to opt out it, but the American people are going to have it ram down our throats. We need to get rid of these people who are in Congress now, they have been in too long. We need new blood and also someone who will list to the
people who have elected them.
We should strive to get the government out of our banks, our auto industry, our health care, and our as###’s. Sorry but you people seem to think the government works for us. There is nothing racial in the presidency he is white. Why is it a man who is half black is a negro but a white guy who is half black is a negro. Sorry personal gripe.
