U.S. Congress - H.R.33 Disability Benefit Fairness Act of 2009

This bill is long overdue. Currently, disabled applicants for Social Security Disability have to wait 5 months after being found “disabled” by the Social Security Administration, before they can begin receiving benefits. This severely impacts people who have no source of income and are counting on SSDI to meet their essential needs. This bill needs more cosponsors. Please contact your Congressman and urge them to support this legislation.
