This is the stupidest bill I’ve ever seen. Where would the incentive be to
purchase autos that get higher gas mileage? Also, what about our right to
privacy? If our cars can be “turned of remotely” after traveling a certain
number of miles, how safe is that?
What’s this Congressman been smokin?
This bill SHOULD be considered a slap in the face to the Fourth Amendment of the Constitution.
U.S. Rep. Earl Blumenauer clearly does not care about FREEDOM; he’s asking for unlimited surveillance by the Federal Government of our motor vehicles; and by extension our private lives. He should be ashamed of himself. This is Un-American.
Clearly, this is the “foot in the door” for traffic tickets via GPS: They know your position—and they have stop watches. Therefore they know your speed, whether you stopped or yielded at traffic signals; how many hours you’ve been driving. Add some computerized wizardry, and the tickets get sent to the registered owner of the vehicle. MASSIVE REVENUE GENERATION at the expense of our privacy.
We are becoming cows—owned by the Government and milked for all we’re worth.
Who in the hell are this idiot’s constituents? Of course, I am furious with this despicable, Communist, anti-Constitutional LEFTIST, dirt-bag and nothing would please me more than to see someone shove that ridiculous pink bicycle pin straight up his ass end but you have to wonder what kind of ignorant, bobble-headed sheeple continue to vote him in time and time again? These nefarious control zealots must be stopped. They will NEVER put this crap in any vehicle I drive or own!
