Every American must shoulder a portion of the economic burden including seniors. All seniors are not low income relying exclusively on social security, in fact majority of seniors have enjoyed the high yields of the 90’s to pad their retirement accounts. I do not support this effort and this is simply an attempt to go around the decsion to forgo the COL increase. Much more important legislature for our elected officials to spend time on.
I would like retired CSRA Federal employees to be included in this bill. I and my husband spent our entire working career as Federal Employees and do not collect Social Security. We would not be included in this one time payment unless the bill is amended to include us. LTC and health insurance costs will rise drastically this year and without a COLA, it will difficult to cover these expenses.
