Maybe you should spend more time improving your financial situation than target shooting?

maybe you should show us your real face instead of this “tuned out” picture you have posted. then again, you are completely “tuned out” as to what is going on in this country so i guess it fits you to a tee!

Can you be more specific as to what “clue” I don’t have? Or are you just going to let your flippant remark stand on its own?

embarrassing and pathetic is when you are in the checkout line at the grocery store and you have to tell the cashier to put some of the food back because you dont have enough money to buy it, embarrassing and pathetic is when you have to borrow someone elses phone because yours has been cut off because you were sent a letter letting you know that while you are looking for a job, the government was helping to support you, and then cuts you off, embarrassing and pathetic is the way the government bailed out the automobile industry, but everyone laid off from there were left without a job after years of service.

The lesson you need to learn here is to stop relying on the government to support you.

THe lesson that YOU need to learn is that I wouldn’t have to rely on the government if I could find a job! That is what most people on here want…a J-O-B…I have put in so many applications and run my printer out of ink making copies of my resume…no one is hiring! The ones that are post stats. on their websites and there is an average of 12.8 people trying to get the 1 job. Pull your head out of the sand and look around.

There is no lesson for me to learn by knowing that you have to rely on the government because you can’t find a job. That is precisely the point I have made, for which I was called ignorant or uneducated by other posters here. Have you exhausted every tool available to you prior to shaking your fist in anger at the government and demanding the support that you want? Or did you just flop your ass down, stick your hand out, and expect the government to maintain your lifestyle for you?

You must be uneducated and definitely don’t know anything about what is going on in the real world. Sit there, shut up and look pretty. Maybe you will learn something while the adults talk about the real world problems.

LOL! What I see “in the real world” is a society that expects, demands and depends on, their government to maintain their lifestyles for them when they run into financial problems.

Genesee: Receiving unemployment “insurance” is paid for by every working American. It is NOT a welfare benefit. I have worked for more than 30 years, got laid off a year ago, and let me tell you something, the government is not “maintaining” my lifestyle; and the weekly unemployment check (1/3 of what my working salary was) is NOT maintaining my previous lifestyle. I am a 60 year old woman who has been searching endlessly for a job. Not earning an income will also affect my social security benefit when I retire. Unless you have unemployment experience my friend, you really should keep your uninformed opinions to yourself….maybe try some understanding, compassion. That’s what is missing “in the real world”….

Hi Patsy1950, somone with Genesse’s mentality, who as I stated before is disgustingly ignorant, is not worth responding to anymore, and should not be given any explanations or any more attention.

UI is a basic form of welfare. It should be tossed out with Social Security, and any other compulsory social program.

Because you’ve done such a good job at back up your insults, Genesee? I’ve looked up your profile here, and it seems to me that you only registered for the sole purpose of harassing people who are down on their luck, and you condemn everyone here for being lazy, for being reliant on the government, for taking money from hardworking Americans such as yourself, correct? That’s the basic drivel that you’ve been taught to parrot out, right? When was the last time you picked up a book to do more than balance out a table, or better yet, when was the last time you read a book that didn’t back up your already pre-conceived ideas and read one that challenged you to look at the other side of the field? While I will agree with you that there are indeed people who abuse the welfare system, and even the UI system, choosing to do nothing beyond sitting on their butts all day every day doing nothing, this is a recession. People are being laid off left and right, and when you happen to live in an industrial town who’s only main job capable of supporting a family on happens to be the manufacturing plant that just finished shutting down and outsourcing their jobs to another country to save costs, what are you supposed to do? You have no money to pick up and move to another city where there is more work, the town is now financially crippled because their main source of income left, and the unemployment you do receive is such a small amount, you literally have to decide between keeping the electric on or buying groceries. But you don’t choose to look at things like that, do you Genesee? You choose to look down your nose at us because we made the mistake of getting laid-off with no notice, no warning it was going to happen so we could prepare. So shame on us for not being able to see the future and tell we needed to hide pennies and nickels under the mattress. (Post 2)

Most of the people on this site are those people- the ones that worked hard, that paid into unemployment every day of their adult lives, and suddenly without warning, without any reason, they were laid-off to save Big Business another million a quarter. Many of these people had their children long before being laid off, so they do not have Welfare Babies, they weren’t conceived just to receive a check, but they are being punished. People are mad because they are having to choose between feeding their children or keeping a roof over their heads. But you have no sympathy for them, do you? Do you have sympathy for anyone, and will you even develop any when the recession causes a member of your family to apply for unemployment that isn’t there? Will you begin to resent them when they have to turn to you for help buying a jar of peanut butter? (Post 3)

Perhaps instead of coming on here condemning people for being angry they are being let down by their government, the ones that first forced them to pay into unemployment and then tell them they cannot have any to help them through this difficult time, you should be trying to find a better solution to the whole problem. Research the issues, learn what is going on through the eyes of people on both sides, and then start suggesting solutions instead of just hurling insults. Please. All people in this country could use more people looking for solutions then just continuing to insult and hate one another. (Post 4 to Genesee)

we get trolls like this often, more often then not it is someone who personally feels the opposite of what they are posting, they simply post outlandish comments to get reactions and to try to make people feel that the (as the see it ) other side really feels that way. Its good to be overly cautious of screen names that are only a few hour or a few days old it is more then likely a regular just trolling.

best option is to ignore the trolls, if you do not take their bait and feed them they go away.

You just proved my point. You are very ignorant and don’t know what is going on. Little lesson for you to brush up on. It’s not about people getting a free ride. It’s about the gov allowing and even rewarding the companies for sending the good paying jobs overseas and leaving Americans with no viable means to earn a decent living.

    part two:

You have a scotoma. Good hard working people with high paying jobs got screwed and now you have the nerve to say they are mooching off the gov? They put much of their hard earned money into the gov but they are the mooches? They have 0 income due to the gov. They have kids to feed and a roof to keep over their head. How do you expect people to do so when all good jobs are gone? Now companies are taking advantage and paying bone minium for what should be a good paying job. Then you have the competition factor. 300+ people apply to same job openings and only one person gets it. Theres not enough jobs for everyone. What do you do for a living?

    part three:

I would bet you sit at home all day mooching off your mommy and daddy or significant other to live. Get your head out of your ass. If you’re going to reply to me try doing so with some intelligence. Don’t waist my time with uneducated stabs in the dark of what is really going on. Oh and if you do work I hope you lose your job and pray none of these people find out you applied for unemployment. Let’s see what a smartass you are then. :D
