You have to be kidding ???? Didn’t you read the part about having the “right” to inspect your home at any time “they feel like it”. Didn’t you read the part about submitting to a “medical or mental evaluation”, and again when ever “they feel like it”.
A law-abiding gun owner would never sound off like you have, nor would they ever agree to “total Federal/State” control of their guns.
This my fellow American, is just another way of attacking out God given right to “own” and “bear” guns at any time to protect our homes and loved ones.
I hate to say this,,,,, you might just be one of those who would need a medical or mental evaluation before you could KEEP your guns.

GOD SAVE AMERICA………

You most definitely hit the nail on the head in my opinion.

I awoke from my deep “sheep” sleep back around 2001, while in college. I have been paying close attention to the media and how people react to the media. I’ve been trying my best to get my input from multiple resources, and make an educated decision myself. Not to have the media make up my mind for me.

I’ve also been paying close attention to our countries’ history, and the changes that have been occurring rapidly in the past 10-70 years with big government regulations and such.

Freedom, Freedom, Freedom. What a joke that word is becoming in this country. It is so ironic to think about during the presidential pre inauguration ceremony, the performing artists singing about America land of the free. Where’s free. I don’t see it anymore in this country. It’s pathetic, I’m sick of it. It’s time for a March on washington. This HR 45 is big. It must be stopped. We have a right to bear arms and we must stop the government from dismantling our constitution.

One only has to look to Australia and our neighbor to the north to see what happens when the government restricts or takes away honest, law abiding citizens ability to protect themselves. Crime will soar when the criminals move to take advantage. Enough is enough! Congress would do well to remember and live by the three R’s
Respect for self.
Respect for others.
Responsibilty for all of your actions.

The time is long over do to rid this country of tyranical politicians and return this country to the way our fore fathers had laid out the course of it’s citizens should follow, AND THAT IS WITH FREEDOM, NOTHING LESS.

The goverment does not need to know how many guns I own. I purchase them I own them. They have no right coming into my house to see how I store them. This is what you call TO MUCH GOVERMENT. Worry about economy and the mess you got us into. It will be a cold day in hell before I register any of my guns.

I am outraged. The last thing i want to see is another civil war. but if legislation like this continues to be proposed and possably signed into law this time i see no other alternative. I just ask of every true american be strong dont give in to oppression and pray for our elected officials. secondly, when it is time to vote be pro-ative, encourage people to use there vote and there voice.

Anonymous 02/13/2009 2:02pm

I belive every freedom loving American regardless wether they chose to
own a firearm or not MUST stand in support of the second amendment!!!! If we as American citzens allow our elected officals to run amuck and trample on our most basic of civil rights we will surely be lead down the long painfull road to socialism.

Wake up! Guns do not kill people. People do. Will we limit ownership of butter knives next?

Anonymous 02/10/2009 9:30am

Why don’t we punish the criminals (when they use a firearm instead of slapping them on the wrist put them away). Right now many people that get convicted eventually get out and commit another violent crime with a gun. I think it would be more effective and cheaper just to put anyone who commits a crime with a gun away for life. Don’t give them another chance to use a gun again. Why punish to people who are law abiding citizens?

What part of “shall not infringe” does Congress not understand? Sounds as if there is any chance a child, what under the age of 21? breaks into your home and uses your gun, you are liable?

Anonymous 02/10/2009 10:07am

After the Cuban crisis Nikita Khrushchev said at the UN that Russia would defeat the United States without firing a shot.Gun control is the second step. The first was the Media turning to the left and supporting Obama.MSNBC has trashed honest reporting. If they can disarm the citizens this country is lost.

hudspethd 04/23/2009 6:20am

Typical government BS. Try to pass a bill w/o letting the American People know upfront. Just shows how crooked our so called “LEADERS” are.

dude if that is treasonous talk we’d still be a fucking Brit colony. we are willing to fight for our rights and if the government takes them away what dos that leave? good thing way back when Americans weren’t all pussies like you.

dprcrna 02/05/2009 5:57am

This bill, the product of a self-proclaimed urban waif who now wants to make his childhood neighborhood more dangerous by virtually eliminating self-defense? Go figure.

What part of “CONGRESS SHALL MAKE NO LAW” Do they not understand?

You’re missing the point ruick, it’s the beginning of the slippery slope. Go watch Red Dawn and pay attention to what the invaders do with the governments records of gun owners.

nate 02/05/2009 6:37am

could we get an amendment to mention the 2nd amendment anywhere in this bill?…I mean, it has to abolish the 2nd amendment to become law, doesn’t it?

Anonymous 01/30/2009 12:43pm

Folks, the man who sponsored HR 45, Rep. Bobby Rush, from the Commie State of Illinois, is a former Black Panther. Like the Panthers, the Weather Underground, the Symbionese Liberation Army (remember Patty Hearst??), and others, are all Leftists. Their dream is to take POWER FROM THE PEOPLE and keep it for themselves. This is TODAY’S DEMOCRATIC PARTY.

These people don’t care about the Second Amendment… they just want more and more power!!!!

Anonymous 02/10/2009 11:47am

Heston was right when he said "You can have my guns when you take them from my COLD DEAD HANDS11111111111111

And aren’t handguns banned there?

Anonymous 02/02/2009 6:41am

Those Congressmen, which I see as the majority, have seperated themselves from the law abiding citizens and have focused their efforts on protecting illegals and those who are not law abiding citizens. To bare a firearm is a second ammendment right. Leave it alone, congress! Start to focus on working for us, as it should be, and quit working for a select few. Congress has lost 98% of its backbone over many, many years now; and are working within a group of immature, childish and self absorbed people, THE CONGRESS!

Anonymous 02/03/2009 2:40pm

Never give up your guns, guns = freedom from dictatorship. Their goal is to disarm us like Europe, we will let that happen???

It may come to a point of life or death one day, better make up your mind on what you will do when they show up at your door.

Anonymous 02/01/2009 8:09pm

Come and take them, Bobby!

stancel 02/02/2009 3:50am

In the U.K, where handguns have been outlawed, crimes involving the use of handguns has gone up 40%.

The politicians know it wont make you safer, and they know that criminals will still have full access to guns. But, this isn’t about making you safer, it is about control. Government can’t control the criminals, so they go after law abiding people instead. On the other hand, if American’s are stupid enough to continue falling for this two party monarchy system, then I guess we deserve what we get.

At what point does idiot America start voting 3rd party???
