If you want to go through all the steps proposed in this ridiculous proposal, you may as well get your concealed carry license. In Michigan the process is almost exactly the same but then you can carry and defend yourself outside the home.

Besides, the insident with the shooting in Chicago is not an indicator of further gun control, Chicago already has some of the most intense gun control laws in the country. Bottom line: gun control does nothing to take guns out of the hands of the criminals or those with criminal intent

Our forefathers wrote The Bill of Rights and the US Constitution for a reason. The United States of America is a country of democracy, not socialism. There is a reason why America has a judicial system as it is to protect the innocent. The problem I see is over the past 10 to 20 years has been in the judicial system it is slowly degrading. Our prisons are overloaded with criminals on death row because they are permitted to unlimited appeals. In Babylon days the saying, “an eye for an eye, a tooth for a tooth” originated. That phrase is also spoken today in The Book of Matthew 5:38. “Ye have heard that it hath been said, An eye for an eye, and a tooth for a tooth.” (King James Version) The definition of that phrase is, “The notion that for every wrong done there should be a compensating measure of justice.” Our country can no longer afford to permit criminals freely walk on the streets. All state and federal justices must protect America including the law abiding citizens who reside in it.

I dare say this is the best anti-law and order campaign they could launch short of simply abolishing all the law enforcement agencies effective immediately. Really, what does this bill accomplish? NOTHING!! The criminals will still get the guns. The kids that want the guns will still get them, and at that point will send their mother or father to jail because the child has seen where the hide the keys for the gun cabinet, or found out the code for the gun safe. So what does this accomplish? A lot more headache for the law abiding citizen. And it begins! No doubt this is only the beginning.

What is really sad is that so many otherwise good and decent law enforcement personnel will die trying to enforce such a stupid law should it ever come to pass. I will engage with all the force and tactics available to me if necessary.

This is war. Do not be deceived or let it be put down under not ‘politically correct’. This is an all-out assault on what our founding fathers, and so many others, have put their lives’ on the line to defend. The first and foremost way for a government to control the people has always been to disarm them.

Article 2 of the Bill of Rights was considered by our founding fathers to be the second most important amendment to the U.S. Constitution. Some people think that it is the most important because it is our protection from corrupt government officials gaining control and trying to remove our God given liberties by force. Guns are one of the few things people are still buying nowadays. With the way the economy is looking, I think it would be pretty irresponsible to support any legislation that is going to hurt the gun industry.

I’ve seen first hand what happens when only criminals have weapons. I lived in the DC suburbs and saw drug dealers shooting it out in the 12th street tunnel during the 80’s in brode day light.

this is just the first step in controlling and then outlawing gun ownership in this country. if the nuts in DC try to out law my guns then I will gladly join the ranks of other outlaws such as Thomas jefferson, John Adams, and George Washington whom i consider patriots in rising up to protect and defend the Consitution of the USA and the “Original” bill of rights!

Our founding fathers were very specific with the wording of The Constitution Of The United States and its Amendments. They were written clearly and precisely, so no interpetations is required.

In the context of the Constitution, phrases like “shall not be infringed,” “shall make no law,” and “shall not be violated” sound pretty unbendable.

Why is our government enacting gun legislation that penalizes innocent law abiding citizens, in effort to reduce high crime rates? How many criminals register their guns? (NIL)
