There is no law to prevent the establishment of a religion. The problem stems from people trying to change a current one instead of establishing their own. This “coersion” is probably what is causing the problem. If enough people share their belief that an activity such as homosexuality is fine, they should establish their own place instead of forcing their belief on anothers.

if you were smart you would believe in christ now. If you don’t do it now you will have to bow before him at the judgement seat and confess that he is God. Then you will spend an eternity in hell. it is not too late to change your mind though.

This nonsensical claim that the first amendment doesn’t say what it clearly says is an argument I only see being used by fundamentalist christians.

Claiming that the phrase “government shall create no law respecting an establishment of religion or the free exercise thereof” really means “government can’t establish it’s own religion” displays a staggering degree of ignorance about basic history as well as a rather pronounced ignorance of basic English. It clearly states that government can make no laws respecting “an establishment of religion”. An “establishment of religion” is just what it says it is, an establishment of religion, be it a sect of Christianity or Judaism or Islam etc. It does not say government can not establish a religion, although this would be barred by the correct meaning of the first amendment.

We recall all peanuts when 8 people die, cars are recalled even when no injuries have happened…but we let anyone own a gun when over 100,000 people have died directly due to guns. It is time for some serious restrictions on the availability of guns in the USA. I have no problem showing my idenification if I purchase a gun or a waiting period to make sure I am mentally stable…come on lets get something done!!!

where does it say gun licensing isnt allowed? This won’t change anything in the constitution you are just blabbering like rush limbaugh right now. What freedoms will be taken away? the freedom to not get ID’d when purchasing a gun? sounds completely perfectly reasonable to me. They will have a photo and thumb pic of every registered gun and it’s owner. If there is a crime or they find a gun on someone who isn’t registered they will trace the gun back to the person who is selling handguns illegally and they will get arrested. And jeez blood of patriots? hahah you are hilarious keep up the good work. 2nd civil war eh? hahaha.

to the 27 year old veteran of law enforcement: you can’t be serious.. right? seriously its cops like you. Cops don’t WRITE THE LAWS. Cops are suppose to follow the law, and hand out punishments accordingly not make or dictate their own version of the law. Cops like you that give the rest of the police force a bad reputation.

I am completely for the right to bear arms … but in reading this BILL is only wanted to make people accountable for the weapons that it buys. The BILL does not prohibit people from owning a gun. Anyone can buy a weapon as long as it provides the right identifications and shows that he or she is of sound mind to even own a weapon. Let face it people, America is full of people that buy weapons and profit by selling these weapons to criminals or even people that should never even have a weapon because they are not responsible enough to have a weapon. By making everyone provide identifications it makes the registered owners responsible for their weapons and subject these gun owners to prosecution if they are irresponsible that it would limit the number of weapon that make it into the hands of criminals or crazy people.

How is it that your “tolerant church” allows something that God does not? Have you ever read 1 Corinthians 6 or 1 Timothy 1??
